When I first hooked my TV up, the screen was not full, the edges were getting cut off, so I went into my Nvidia Control Panel and re-sized the desktop to where it fit. Now I don't have to worry about the resolution unless I'm playing games, which is where I am having the problem. When I play a game, I have the same issue as I had with my desktop: the edges of the picture are being cropped out. In newer games that I can pick a custom resolution, this is not a problem. In older games that only have set resolutions, like AOE2, for example, I'm stuck with the cropped out image. Even if I set my resolution via the Nvidia Control Panel to the same resolution that will be used in the game, when I boot it up, my resolution automatically changes to where the edges are cropped out.
I think the problem is called "overscan". There are settings in the Nvidia Control Panel for overscan and underscan, but whenever I use them, nothing happens. Also, my TV does have any settings for this. Is there any possible thing I can do?
