Post Apocalyptic Survivalists

If its a zombie/virus situation I would just board up and wait it out while protecting my family.

If its defending myself against other humans then I'd gather up the family and head out to my uncles where he has a stock pile of weapons, out of town, farm land, and familiar territory.

If it would happen, I'm dead anyways, as most of everything on earth would be. But you've got to stop playing fallout OP ;)

Not true, nuclear war is much over hyped. Especially with today's "cleaner" nuke's.

Having two members of the military in my family, along with several hunters and shooting enthusiasts (including myself) our house is well equipped with firearms, although I don't know why on Earth we would need them.

As for survival, I do have a sketchy sorta plan, but I'm sure we'd work out the details if / when it happened..

I planned for zombies. I have a few emergency supplies for bad weather and such but for survival in long term? Nope.
My old uncle is one of those people who created his own bomb shelter for when the communists come. Also we only have one rifle and pistol so were not totally defenseless. But my supplies could always use more.

The thing is...if you planned on living through zombies, you should be ready for most emergencies. If you really think about living in an undead world you start to think about all the other things that could go wrong like cold weather, famine, etc. So you plan for them also on the side.

I also reccomend reading books on mantrapping.

Here is a pic of some of my survival kit. It is the newest stuff that I have right now, and I decided to put in some fallout stuff with it. The Geiger counter works and the pills on top of it are potassium iodide(bonus points if you can name what its called in the Fallout world) and some stuff to fight infection and nerve agents. The other pics in the album are old and I need to update them. This is my current survival kit at the moment, and it is by no means complete.

Oh yes forgot to say what they yellow box is the Geiger counter.
