About a week or so back I went out and bought myself a new laptop to help with school. I decided that in my off time I'd install diablo 2 and play with friends. Only problem is my laptop won't run the damn thing. It more than meets the system specs but it just will not run it. Sometimes it refuses to install it. If anyone can help me with this problem it'd be much appreciated.

My laptop runs windows 7.
According to the installer/help message, diablo 2 has a known compatibility issue with windows 7 but there aren't any online fixes.
I've gotten it to run exactly one time for 30 minutes before all this stuff started happening.
Sometimes when installing the expansion it'll hit an endless loop of "Insert play disc" "Insert Install Disc"

i run it on Windows 7 just just fine. unless I alt-tab out which makes it all rainbow colored. other than that, Windows 7 works for me.

Try downloading the game from Blizzard. That should eliminate any install issues involving disc swapping and should get you the latest version.
