I bought this game a while ago but my computer, at the time, couldn't run it. I installed it on my new Windows 7 machine and am having a weird problem. It's pretty early in the game and I'm in Innsmouth. I'm in the room with the printing press and I open the door on the right and turn to face the woman who has hanged herself. The focus switches to her but then I can't move. I can sneak, crouch, and access the game menu but I can't move or proceed. It's like there's a narrative piece wanting to start but it doesn't. Anyone else encounter this and (hopefully) have a workaround?

only solution i could think of would be to not look at the woman

ok i think i remember what part that is, and yes there is suppose to be some narration.what are your system specs?

Same issue here. Really started getting into the game, and then... this.
Don't have a previous save to go back to either. Would have to play the intro over again, and that's assuming this doesn't happen repeatedly. Halp!

Thanks for the attempt/sarcasm, but it seems to be a forced cutscene upon traveling through the door; no matter where I look, my camera pans and focuses in a bit to her left. If it's an issue loading the cutscene, is there a patch or something? Perhaps an issue running it through Steam? I could always extract it to elsewhere on my C:/, I guess.

are you going into that room first? because if I remember right that's the second room you want to enter after getting into the room with the printing press. Let me know if that helps any.
