modify date/radar range?

greetings

i like to play FO3 with the FWE-mod, but there are two things i find kinda annoying:

1. you can make an alternative start, which is unfortunately 3 years before the actual escape from vault 101, so you can find notes and entries from the future :unsure2:
is there an option/a script to change the ingame date?

2. im quite sure the mod reduces the range at which red tick marks appear on your compass and i'd like to change that
sometimes i cant fast travel because of "you cant fast travel when enemies are nearby", but i cant see a damn single red mark on the compass :banghead:

awesome mod though^^

thanks in advanced

There are some global variables that I think control the time. Namely, GameDay, GameHour, GameMonth, and GameYear. Setting them in console is as easy as using:

Set variableName to whateverNumber

Example:
Set GameMonth to 5

I don't know if any quests will be using those that would require it, but probably not. Still, you might watch for any troubles and backup your stuff if you are worried.

As for the other question, I don't know. I haven't really played with that mod. Of course, your stats can alter how far you can see, but there may be other factors or variables, hopefully someone more knowledgeable can help you there. Good luck!

The red 'blip' is controlled by you perception AND the game difficulty. There may be others, but those are the two I know of.

What is your characters perception and what is your game difficulty set to?

With 10 perception and normal game difficulty, you should be able to see a red blip from a great distance. I can only surmise that you have a mod that is changing the difficulty of your game in other ways.
