Without giving anything in the Infernal City away, at one point they mention that Umbra is north, towards Solsteim. Could this possibly mean Umbra is in Skyrim, somewhere near Solsteim?

And if Umbra is in Skyrim, do you think it should be 1-handed or 2-handed? I personally think it should be 2-handed because we can dual-wield now.

I'm not sure if you are asking if the city is in the game or the sword is, or both. If so the city is actually called Umbriel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Infernal_City

But will the sword be in the game? Probably, seeing as it's been in both Oblivion and Morrowind.. but what has happened to the sword since we had it? I dunno, i'm guessing it covers that in the book (which I haven't read)

I think the issue with Umbra will be settled with the 2nd book , I don't think everyone would allow a deadly city like that to hang around even remotely close to cyrodil. And plus if I remember correctly the distance in time between the infernal city and TESV is at least a hundred years.

OH OPS about the sword well there is a ton of rumors in TES , like the Nervarine is in Akavir . So we may never know.

There's been like five or six topics on exactly this recently, but I'd like it if Umbra made its return in Skyrim.

I'd definitely like to see Umbra again. It's always been an interesting item, where it takes such a strong hold on the one who wields it that they forget their own identity. Kind of a shame it never affects the player like that in any way though.

maybe (if it is included) we will have to go through a longer quest to get it, which at the same time might explain how it got to where ever it will be.

well it was thrown into a gate of Oblivion so if it is there you may have to go back to get it, or it just somehow got out, maybe the god that was asking you to find it in oblivion will give it to you in this game

Well, Umbra (the sword) may be around Solsthiem, but Umbra (the entity) is in Umbriel, so would the sword actually do anything? Of course, that's assuming he isn't put back in the sword in book 2

I hope Umbra (the sword) makes it in again, it's one of the few items in the games I always look forward to getting my little hands on. As another user pointed out, I hope they flesh out it's dominance in some manner, especially over you once you acquire it (Or would that be once it acquires you?)
