A request for some outside the box thinking...

I have a 10 key num-pad that allows the entry of a four digit pass code to unlock a door in my house (http://www.fallout3nexus.com/imageshare/images/170821-1252225661.jpg).

By default, the code is 0000, but I want the user to be able to set the code to anything they want.
I'm able to do it now via a terminal, but the menu system on a terminal cuts off the last choice when displaying more than 9 choices (http://www.fallout3nexus.com/imageshare/images/170821-1306333139.jpg).
-Notice how the last option is cut off. Also, the "0" is covered by a blinking "cursor"...

I've put this feature off until the end, and now the house is nearly ready to put on the Nexus, but I still haven't been able to figure out how to make a system of changing the four digit security code.

I've also considered doing it via console, but can't think of a simple way to do it, and I'd really prefer to use a "roleplay friendly" way... like a computer terminal.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might go about doing this?
I'm stumped, so any ideas are welcome.
Please remember, this is more a roleplay feature more than anything else, so that is my major consideration....

Why not have two terminals that are linked.
Numbers 1 through 5 (with a next option) on the first terminal, numbers 6 through 0 on the next terminal. The back button is automatic.

Ok, I've been playing around with your multiple terminal idea on paper for a couple hours, and have a menu system I'm comfortable with.

Now, I'm gonna see if it works as smooth in action as it does on paper.
I'll probably have more questions once I start trying to get this to actually function.

Anything you want to know about terminals, I probably know.
I have found them to be eaiser to use than scripting a menu system which is all they are, a 'menu system'.

You can also make some terminal lines not show up, based on conditions. So if you only want them to be able to select the number '1', one time, you can condition the number '1' menu item to only display if your other 'selected' values are not equal to 1 already.

It really a nice menu system.
