[RELz] Reilly's Rangers Expanded

Post » Tue Jan 25, 2011 6:26 pm

With the release of http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?showtopic=1061677 I'm thinking of reworking Reilly's Rangers Expanded a bit, or perhaps a lot. I have a ton of ideas, the only limit is time and motivation.

As painful as it might be, I'm going to have to svck it up and make a voiced character. Fortunately, I have an idea to let met get around my own terrible acting, pronunciation and voice. ;)
Also, it will save me from designing a face.
Without reusing original content.

Does anyone know any good Fallout dialogue tutorials?...

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12163 is easily the best one, the (few) others are pretty mediocre and only cover the basic basic stuff you can figure out in a few minutes. But generally if you're trying to do anything remotely complicated learning the dialogue system is a complete pain in the butt because of a lack of documentation on it. I'm assuming you're going to be using a robot or something? I'd say learning on non-humans first is definitely the way to go if you're going to be doing voice work.

Also it's good you're updating RR :celebration:

Or something... Damnit, it was that easy to guess?!

It is a 50 page Microsoft word document

Oof. Oh well, better get started then.

It might be worth to have a look at dialogue/quest tutorials for Oblivion. The dialogue systems are quite similar. The basics, anyway. Oblivion doesn't have speech checks and such.

Put up version 1.1 but don't get too excited, it's just a small refinement. :)
I split the mod into an ESP/ESM pair so non-caucasians won't have white bodies, and I changed the default included camouflage to Irish DPM (British DPM is still available as a skin-pack).

Get it http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6068.

Tell me if it breaks. :cryvaultboy:
