Something to do while I wait

I voted for other game.

I will probably buy Homefront in March. I am also thinking about getting Mass Effect 1 & 2 and play through those a couple of times in anticipation of ME3 which is supposed to come out Dec 31, 2011. Probably have good and bad games in each to use for ME3.

After that, I am not too sure what I will do. Maybe grind out 10th prestige in Modern Warfare 2.....lol

I recommend fo3. Fnv was ok buy if you want something to grab your attention (even if it's not canon friendly) then go with that.

Fallout New Vegas: This is a pretty amazing spin-off. It's an Oblivion / FO3 style game, but with interesting, believable characters and fun, non-linear quests (things that both Oblivion and FO3 fail at IMHO). I haven't played it that far but so far have enjoyed it a lot.

Morrowind: my all-time favourite game, so obviously worthy of a recommendation. The combat seems awful at first (and in many ways is, there are a lot of missed oppurtunities to make it feel more real - having 'miss', 'fumble' and 'block' animations for both the player and the enemy would give important visual feedback so that it didn't seem so arbitrary), but is based mostly on character skills, which actually turns out to be quite interesting... if you make a character that has low blade skill, forget about using a sword. Play it if you want to experience an alien but at the same time consistent and believable world with a mysterious and yet vivid history. The main quest is linear (which I usually hate), but at least it's interesting and has a lot of background and intrigue to it (not just "OMG! Demons everywhere!").

Dragon Age Origins + Awakening (probably available in some bundle now): I was really pleasantly surprised by this game. It's an old-school party RPG (as in, you control a party of 4, not that it's a good drinking game). Put the difficulty on max and enjoy lots of interesting tactical battles. The story is pretty generic on paper, but they manage to twist every single one of the many cliches involved to something different enough to feel fresh. Best of all, there are lots of interesting choices with far-reaching consequences to be made along the way. It's nowhere near as 'free-roaming' as Bethesda games, but the questing is much less linear, which is nice. This is probably the best Bioware-style game I have played, YMMV.

Think I'm gonna build a new computer.

http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Viper/ They say building one is cheaper, but after adding up the price of all the parts I wanted it turned out to be the same price, if not more expensive.

As for the PC in the link, can any computer buffs confirm this as a good buy?
It's quite the expensive purchase, so I'm hoping the money will be well spent.

Fallout: New Vegas makes me sad... :sadvaultboy:

Try the mass effect series, or the fable series.

My local gamestop stopped selling Xbox original games. I checked all over for a copy. I go to this once place but i find that i had the wrong address. I might have to go on ebay just for a [censored] copy of Morrowind

You will enjoy Fallout 3 more, because new players attempting to play Morrowind for the first time often don't understand what makes it so great.

Play TES Arena. Re-attatch yourself to The Elder Scroll's Roots. That's actually what I'm doing. And its working quite well.

As for RPGs, Dragon Age, ME 1 and 2.
Shooters(if you own a PS3) Killzone 3 and (maybe)Resistance3. If you're on PC and or 360 or just PS3 I also suggest Crysis 2 and Bulletstorm if that's your thing.
And of course, (PS3 again) Uncharted 3, though it comes out like 10 days before Skyrim so that might not be a good idea.
Minecraft, Dwarf Fortress.
Fallout NV/3 as well.

Don't have the money for loads of games so my plan for the year looks something like this:

Dragon Age II.

One of about 12 possible games.

Skyrim.

Mass Effect 3.
