Looking for new mods

Post » Fri Jan 28, 2011 5:54 am

Hi all,

Im looking for new quests, long quests.

Is there a mod that anulates the main quest or that changes the main quest for any other? (kill the counts of cyrodill, for exemple :gun: ).

Sugestions apreciated!

A few long quests would be the Ayleid Steps, The Lost Spires and that Kragenir's Death Quest mod. I haven't played all the way through any of them. There are several ways to disable the main quest, and Kragenir's is easily big enough to replace the main quest. If you add all three of these to a game, you'll have lots to do.

Kragenir's Death Quest seems to be what Im looking for. Thank you! The readme says: compatible with almost everything. Do you know if it is compatible with ooo and if I can disable the main quest with just this mod? I dont want this Tiber septim and the blades and Martin and all this stuff talking to me again.

You might want to look into Servant of the Dawn. It takes place after the main quest and allows you to be evil.

If we're talking about Length, you should look into http://www.moddb.com/mods/integration-the-stranded-light. 5 new guilds, 80+ quests, unique quests unlike any quests in other mods, 24+ hours of silent dialogue...

KDQ doesn't have anything to do with the Oblivion main quest. It doesn't disable or touch it in any way. It does add a 'main quest' of its own, but it isn't an alternative to Oblivion's main quest.

But yes if you're looking for lots of quests it should be worth a look.

There are no technical incompatibilities with OOO. There's just one 'issue'. The mod's main quest is best experienced with a low level character, but one of the first dungeons it sends you to is very very dangerous with OOO.

If you intend to get it I'd recommend waiting a week or two. A large update is on its way and it would be a waste starting the mod's main quest now when it's going to be so much better soon.

Just a warning in case you also intend to get the Servant of the Dawn mod, that one is incompatible with the main quest of Kragenir's Death Quest because Servant of the Dawn kills all the inhabitants of Blankenmarch.

I see, Is your baby...

Thank you for the information! I will wait for the update. I dont like the idea of Servant of the Dawn for roleplaying reasons (Now Im a nice person, now, suddenly Im bad because I dont have nothing better to do...).

I also have HGEC body replacer. Does KDQ add new female clothes? If yes, do you know if there is a patch for conversion?

You might also want to have a look at http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21989, a huge story mod that takes place on an island in the sea off Anvil.

Well you could still be a "good guy"... basically you refuse their offer and destroy their base there. Very short in comparison to the actual quest line.
Also Oblivion as a whole svcks at giving the player a good motivation to do anything (possibly because of the 38 character dialogue limit.).... You could always say you're joining the Mythic Dawn because after you save the world all you got was some crappy armor, and everyone now bothers you with lame greetings. So you join the Mythic Dawn to get some true appreciation and power!

I don't think so, just look at the size of KDQ: 1833kb, at the most there's only like maybe a few retextures included.

As for Integration it does have a few new clothes, but I'm pretty sure they all use HGEC.

Windfall adds like 1 robe and 1 armor set which use vanilla. Won't be much of an issue though because they aren't "super appealing", they're just pretty standard. Oh, and I also recommend Windfall.

KDQ doesn't add any weapons, armors or clothes with custom meshes/textures. The exception is one quest related weapon that you only use once.

LOL. You are right. Wait two weeks for get the dragon armor was enough reason for kill everyone in Cyrodil.

Very usefull information about HGEC and the other quests mods. I will try with both, KDQ and Windfall. Thanks.

This is what I wanted to hear. I will check your thread regularly and I will install it when the update is ready. The main quest can be easily refused with the optional arrival by ship (or something like that). Is just that I want a new history. I cant hear more times things some "Let me see your face..."

Thank you all, guys!
