Can anyone suggest some Winter Mods

Post » Fri Jan 28, 2011 5:50 pm

Whilst I can't play Oblivion right now, it does give me time to think of what I'd like for when I get it back, and one of the things I'd really like is a Winter feel to the world; so I was wondering if anyone knows any good Winter Mods?

The sort of thing I was thinking was...
- Frozen lakes/rivers
- All round snow
- Snow weather-type/dull skies
- Maybe some Thick Coats?

I'd guess most of these would have to be put together from different Mods.

It doesn't necessarily have to be "Christmasy" or anything like that, just a feeling of Winter; I'd be grateful if anyone could suggest anything :)

I asked about this back in February, but didn't get any responses; still, I'm hoping to get back into playing Oblivion properly over the next week or so, so thought I would give this a bump to save making a new topic-- same paramaters as above, really, anything that adds a Wintery-feel to Tamriel :) Thanks in advance for any suggestions :)

Install a weather mod and go live in Bruma. AN, AWS and EW all have nice dull weather and snowstorms up there...

I remember seeing one somewhere, back when it actually was winter. I'll have a search around see what I can find.

I know that WrinklyNinja's upcoming? Enhanced Seasons mod should do something for weather. I ? upcoming because he's not working on it right now and won't until some of his other projects get wrapped up, so it's not happening any time soon. I know that a portion of it is going to be dynamic sunrise/sunset based on latitude, which is really, really, really cool.

This.

I also think it's possible to do texture swapping using NifSE, though I haven't looked into it, and I'm probably too lazy to do the heaps of work needed to winterize Cyrodiil.

Stuff like LOD also messes up the winterized idea, since AFAIK you can't change that.

hmm...it's not exactly in the Tamriel worldspace, but it does add a small little new village and a cave that...it is rather hysterical and enjoyable to play!...but...sadly, short.

There's a really cool house mod that I just tried called http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28731. Icy! And lots of crafting that can be done there as well. Another nice wintery type house? http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25876

Tona's mods has one with a http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26567 - don't see why both gals and guys couldn't wear this (this is the compilation but she has one that has just the muffler - you'd have to search them for it).

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13308?

I've been wanting to try this for the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23368&navtag=file/images.php?id=23368&tab=3 (instead of those blobby white dots)

Makes http://http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25812....they should have this for all cities :)
