Erm wired super mutant thing :o/

I've got some weird thing happening with my super mutants it's happen twice now...when I kill them or think I've killed them there body lies motionless on the ground yet there weapon is still attacking me so I have to shoot were the super mutant would be if they were and kill the invisible version of them, it's like their body dies but their sprite lives on lol...any one know what's going on??

Occasionally I have an issue with various enemy NPC's, mostly of the two-legged kind, where they'll be lying flat on the ground but the little red marker will show them elsewhere and shooting at me. I use Fallout Re-Animated as well as some of my own custom animations so it may have something to do with that.
The last time it happened to me was when I'd shot someone with a Thorazine Dart Gun - which paralyses them for a few seconds. Instead of getting back up they stayed on the ground.

That's what I think, anyway. Custom animations. But someone else might know for sure. I don't get it very often so haven't bothered trying to track down what's causing it.

Hmm I suppose it makes seance seen as you've experienced similar things and we both using Fallout Re-Animated as well, there must be a way around it because the animations are sweet and I really don't wonna stop using them :(

Did you install using FOMM 12.3?

Maybe you have some missing resources? Check the status of some of your larger SM affecting mods and see if the list of resouces contained in the FOMOD match the list that was installed?

Well out of the mods I'm using I can only think it could be ether MMM or FEW, I checked both of them (what's in the FOMOD and what's installed) and nothing seems to be missing :unsure:

If i was to take the mesh and textures folders from both MMM and FWE and drop them in to the data folder what effect you think that would have?
It's MMM RC6 Beta 2 btw

Yes I did use FOMM 12.3 as well.

There was a bug with FOMM 12.3 and MMM and FWE where some resources didn't get installed.

Roll back to 11.9 and uninstall/reinstall those mods, or just dump the resources into your Data directory and see if it gets any better.

I can confirm that it's indeed a missing resources problem. More specifically, MMM related.

By the looks of things it all seems to be fixed after reapplying the MMM mesh and texture files to my data folder, so FOMM 12.3 was the cause :mellow: bit of a funny bug that one but least now if I get my ass beat I can't use the ''I can't see them'' exuse lol, thanks for that guys.

EDIT:

Also downgraded to 11.9 so hopefully no future issues like that arise :)

Just for the record, FOMM 12.3 isn't the cause. FOMM 12.3 fixed some "loose" code from previous versions and in the process exposed a bug in the installation script of MMM and a few other mods. The fix is known and has been applied to the MMM script, but it is waiting on the next official release before the file is updated. In the meantime just dumping the resources manually solves the problem.

It's just a weird coding syntax thing that has to be synchronized....not anyone's fault and certainly not a "bug" in FOMM 12.3

More or less.

Depends on whether you're comfortable remembering to manually install resources for certain mods, or whether you'd rather let FOMM handle it all.

I'm not sure what other updates were included in 12.3, but I don't recall hearing of anything critical so 11.9 should work fine for now.
