Super Mutants dont wanna use guns?

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 12:43 pm

An interesting problem..... Super mutants seem to have the preference of running into my automatic weapons fire, and beat on me with their fists, as opposed to using the ranged weapons they have in their inventory that I find after I have killed them. (before they even get close.....) Any clues why they would feel that way?? Thank You. :D

You should create a merged patch with FO3Edit in order to add the wmk weapons to the SupermutantWeapons form list. They will only use weapons if they are in this list.
WMK requires a merged patch anyway and there are intructions on how to do it in the WMK readme file.

The way supermutants are armed in the game is different from everyother NPC, if you have one or more mods adding weapons to supermutants than they will get then in thier inventory but only use the weapons from the last mod loaded. To fix this you need a merged patch.

Edit: Ohhh! Too slow!

If you were using MMM, there's an optional ESP called "hunting and looting". That makes things real fun, because many NPCs (raiders, talons, super mutants) will pickup weapons off of their fallen comrades and use those against you.

Just because you killed that master/overlord with the rocket launcher or minigun doesn't mean that you're safe during that particular fight. The wee little brute might run over and pick it up.
