Alchemy Ideas

Smoke bombs (see Assassin's Creed 2/Bro), Firebottles, and mass paralyzation please. It would make the alchemy skill even more interesting. Oh, and tint maps so we can change the color of our clothes, and alchemy to create the dyes.

How about a potion that lets you alter your appearance as a disguise?

Sounds like you have some good ideas, but throwing my potions, no thank you. It's not TES.

ive always loved alchemy but it was quite simple in oblivion.these are some great ideas.although some of them sound a little over powered.but if they were balanced it could work

Yeah balancing would be the issue. Like I said, AoE and duration are pretty much a given... there would have to be a limit on the amount of damage a thrown potion could do. Or in the case of something like the "sleeping potion" it would have to be really expensive, like 500 gold or more, or require very rare ingredients to make and only at an expert Alchemy level.

Gardens where you can plant seeds and grow plants, walking around in the forest picking flowers, redecorating buyable houses... Why don't we all just take a knife and cut our junk off and start wearing dresses?

No, but seriously, this would be a good feature if included I guess. For the people that are into that kind of thing, if nothing else it'll maybe bring other gamer demographics to buy and play Skyrim.

Don't you think it would be nice to not have to look around everywhere for that one little ingredient you need? Of course you wouldn't have to plant everything you come by... you could just plant those rare and expensive ingredients. Also, your home cultivated ingredients could have an effect bonus applied, or replenish faster than wild ones... Or it could be the other way around, and certain ingredients could be more potent if harvested from the wild. For example: "Cultivated Mandrake Root" would be more potent than "Mandrake Root", but "Cultivated Flax" would be weaker than "Flax".

Has a gardening mod in Oblivion who works pretty well, as other say some plants are hard to find some places, suspect that vegetation will be even more localised in Skyrim. Serious doubt they will add it but it was moded into both Morrowind and Oblivion.
Only used the Oblivion version who was pretty sweet, activating the gardening tool placed a sack in front of you, place plant ingredients and it turned into a heap, over the next days the plant grew and could be harvested, at this time it was a standard Oblivion plant like any other.

Downside was that it was dependent on cell respawn to regrow so you could not have a farm you lived on; you has to place the garden spot a place you visited every 3rd day to harvest and perhaps plant more.
