I just thought about posting a topic about the gladiator arena, since I have not seen anyone else done it Do you want Skyrim to have an gladiator arena? or some other kind of arenas.

Yeah arena for the win, more choice longer campaign, I wanna fight a real hoard. I liked the thorn in NV you could set traps for animal in skyrim for the arena too, lol catchinga dragon maybe difficult lol, but on that point the dragons and civil war may have got in the Astor such activities, maybe some kind of underground fighting ring would be more suitable, lol members of the DBH may need not apply.

The only thing really screwed up with the arena was the ranking system. There should have been fights against creatures in the beginning or other kinds of minor feats like that. The main thing is that this is a game and they had to make the arena accessible, entertaining, and rewarding.

Just make the fights not always be to the death and there wouldn't be a problem with the ranking system.

an arena system would not really fit the skyrim motif imho. Like there is a civil war going on, dragons invading, people being executed, I just dont think its the right setting for an arena. It worked in Cyrodil because it was a capitol city full of rich people that seemed disassociated from the rest of the world. Dont get me wrong I like the idea of arena combat, I just dont think it has a place in Skyrim.

The Imperial arena should have been closer modelled on the Roman arena. Uneven, showy fights, or historical "reenactments". All about the spectacle.

I'd think the Skyrim arena would be more brutal. A small pit, ringed with pikes, in which you have to fight a large wolf, bears, or the like. Bloody and brutal, exactly how I hope the combat system proves to be.

I'd like to see Radiant Story expand Arena fighting into a much larger, more varied experience. There are all manner of new combat mechanics to show off and this would be the perfect place. Rather then a single linear quest with the same dozen or so opponents and a quick road to victory, I'd see it become a bloody, brutal event across several cities with a wide variety of opponents, both man and beast... And mer... Oh and beastman. Tailored opponents for important matches. Random traps. Packs of animals. Screaming Nordic crowds. Dirt and mead flying everywhere. I want to fight in the snow, in the mud, in the rain. I want it to be a part of life in the North. There when you are a level one whelp. There when you are a level 57 Dovahkiin. I'm not saying make it impossible to ever become Grand Champion... I'm saying shoot for regional first. I'm saying make it harder, longer like the Nordic ladies like. I'm saying make it so epic and unending that people remember why Arena was made in the first place.
