[WIP} Vault 44 - an explorer's tale

Hi all!

I thought that I would finally introduce my mod project: Vault 44 - an explorer's tale.
The mod starts with a classic setting of you in a vault and heading out to explore at at request of your overseer. With you are three companions that are also on a quest to find allies in the harsh wasteland.

Featuring:
- A nice vault with new character creation
- Wasteland exterior worldspace that is currently about 1/4 times in size compared to capital wasteland
- Two towns, multiple factions to ally with, lot's of ruins and places to explore

I've been building this mod now since January and it looks like I will be done by end of year. I was aiming for a release before F:New Vegas, but well that was a bit too ambitious.

Here are some screenshots:

And even though the mod is still not released: thank you all in the forums for excellent guidance and great community :-)

It looks interesting. Does it take place in the Capital Wasteland, or have you started from scratch?

Thank you! :-)
Mod is created from scratch. It's located somewhere in the mid-west, but haven't decided on any real-world location. Also currently you need to create a new character, but I have designed a add-on story that will enable you to bring your character to this area. Finishing this new story / character mod takes priority now.

Wow that looks awsome. You are one of the others that has fantastic world creation skills. When you finish this mod, and I finish my current mod, we should work together on one for NV and make it the best quest mod ever. :D

Very impressive that you took on this project all by yourself and are still continuing it all by yourself. I can see the attention to detail that you have put into this project so far. I can tell that many people are going to snatch this mod up and play it as soon as it is released :)

Thank you all for the encouragement! There's a lot work still to be done but I can tell it's really rewarding to see your plans take shape when you test your work :-). I have a video trailer planned and I have recorded some "making of plane crash" material that is going to be on YouTube in... let's say end of September.

To Gunmaster: that's a really good idea, but one thing at a time :-)
