How do you run the CS extender

Post » Tue Feb 15, 2011 6:13 pm

I cannot seem to find shadeMe's thread for help with the extender, so I'm posting this here. I finally got the extender to work by opening a command prompt in the oblivion directory and typing "obse loader-editor" He never mentioned that it was necessary to do this in the documentation, so I am wondering if there is another way to start it. I can't believe one would have to resort to that each time. But, if that is the only way, does anyone know if it possible to create a shortcut that will do the same thing?

That's how it's done, just like using OBSE for Oblivion.exe. If you want a shortcut, use Bash or one of the other shortcut programs.

Thanks,
I forgot about the launcher icon in Wrye bash. It doesn't work for some reason though. It gives me this error:

[Errno 22] Invalid argument
Used Path: C:\Games\Oblivion\obse_loader.exe
Used Arguments: ('obse_loader.exe', '-editor')

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\Games\Oblivion\Mopy\basher.py", line 11559, in Execute

File "C:\Games\Oblivion\Mopy\basher.py", line 11553, in Execute
os.spawnv(os.P_NOWAIT,exePath.s,exeArgs)
OSError: [Errno 22] Invalid argument

Any ideas anyone?

Create a shortcut to the obse_loader and add this to the end of the target:

-editor

(There is a leading space there)

CSE also requires OBSE 0020, so make sure you have the correct version.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
