As a huge fan of fallout and a techgeek, I would love to be able to reverse my actions on technology.
In other words:
For example I go to VaulTec headquarters and destroy all the robots along with deactivating the mainframe. I destroy the master brain robot chip and that's it... practically there is no point to go back to VaultTec HQ, it's done. It's a dead place that has nothing else to do it. Now that if you could just come back to VaultTec and fix all the robots, turrets and reactivate the mainframe as well as fix the master brain. You know, add a function to reprogram the robots (one by one) to attack specific npc (maybe use one of thee last existing database chips that you have to find in one of the vaults). You know, You broke a robot, you can fix it again. I mean I would love to come back to Vault-tec HQ again. It just leaves a feeling that you have contributed something to the wasteland other than some quests.
______________________________________________________G-MOD FUNCTIONS
I often see the ruined cars, some with engines and some without. Man it would be awesome to be able to build something with those engines....
Well what if you would borrow some ideas from ValvE's/Garry's Gmod and make the elements to be "programmed" with each other:
for example to have an ability to nail a sensor module to the wall and link it to a shotgun in front of the door. Make your own traps before you will enter the enemy zone and lure them out. Or once again put a wire or a sensor module in a hall and put that car's engine (that you can also make or fix) with attached to a blade to cut someones head near the corner... lol.
