Oblivion Vampirism

Dear gentle folk of Tamriel,

On the 360 (I don't have any experience with other versions of Oblivion) I always play a Vampire. I have always wondered if/why you can only become a Vampire once? By the descriptions in the various guides (including in-game lore), it states that even if you were to get Vampirism cured, that should you get infected again that you could always return to the witch and get it cleared up.

This leads me to believe that you should be able to have the Porphyric Hemophilia turn you into a Vampire again, but the game won't let it happen.

Is this a bug? Did I misunderstand what I have read over these last five years of playing Oblivion?

Is there a patch for this that I can get for my 360 version of the game?

Any input would be helpful, thank you.

P.S. If this has already been covered, I apologize. I couldn't find it.

Only with the PC can you get vampirism a second time. This is not a bug.

check http://uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Vampirism for more info.

You CAN get Porphyric Hemophilia again. But after you have been cured, it acts just like any other disease, just doesn't turn you into a vampire.

Yup, I've played a vampire on 360 too. Only one shot, bro.
