Hey, guys. This is my first fan-fiction, so it's not that great.I'll be adding more to the story later on. Please post suggestions, comments and anything needed to improve my writing. I wouldn't like my stories to be soppy :)

Chapter 1: He's only 19

4E359, Cyrodiil, The Great Forest
A young Breton male sat on a stool, by his tent in the middle of The Great Forest, travelling to Chorrol. He was only 19, but looked two years younger. Orion Marc was his name. Orion had short, black, wavy hair and light blue eyes. He wore a Blue and Green Outfit, with doeskin shoes. It was getting dark. Time for tea. Orion opened his food bag an in it was just a loaf of bread and venison preserved with salt. He was sure the meat was to rot soon enough if he did not eat it. Better than nothing. After all, imagine the smell if I ignore to eat today, tomorrow! He thought. Orion got two sticks he had found earlier in the day and started rubbing them together vigorously. Orion frowned. Damned fire won't light. Too bad I don't have any Flare spells. This is why dad always told me to pay attention to everything he taught me. Orion sighed. Dad, I wish you were here now. With sudden anger, Orion threw the sticks to the ground. "Damn it all!" He yelled. "Those [censored] idiots! They killed you!" He screamed to no one in particular. His dad died in a pub brawl, he didn't start. He buried his face in his hands, took a deep breath and exhaled. Orion continued with trying to light the fire.

Orion awoke the next morning. Now that my nervous breakdown is over and done with . He joked to himself. He was in a good mood this morning. Why? Orion was going to Chorrol. And Chorrol was the home of Rosa, his crush for 2 years now. Orion packed his things, and headed for Chorrol.

Chorrol

Orion entered Chorrol, at the Fountain Gate. He saw the statue of a woman and a dying, or dead man (he was never too sure, and couldn't be bothered finding out) in her arms. A guatd patrolling nearby gave him the strangest of looks. The guard was frowning almost as he looked at Orion. "What?" Orion said rudely. The guard scrunched his face up, with you criminal scum written all over his face. The guard finally spoke. " It's a shame rudeness is not a crime, otherwise, I'd have you slapped in irons. You want that?"
"N-no. Sir, I'm truly sorry, that I am." Orion realised his rudeness. Being in the woods without company made him forget how to be polite.
"Good man. I'll let you off this time, outsider. Now get out of my sight and do whatever it is you kids do."
Orion walked off and rented a room in the Grey Mare then went looking for Rosa.

Orion had reached the Great Oak Place. Pull yourself together. Just say the simple words " You wanna see me sometime?" She'll say yes and that would show him. Brother, you always said I'd never get a girl, I'm gonna prove you wrong! Then he saw her, standing by the Great Oak, talking to someone who seemed to be her friend. His heart thumping, hands sweaty and his mind screaming at him she'll say no! Just go away! She'll say no! His legs like lead; he forced himself to drag his own legs towards her. After what seemed like a mile of walking, he had finally reached her. Rosa's long, light brown hair and big hazel eyes melted his heart. Rosa was an Imperial who sung beautifully, which was why he liked her. Music was his thing. But he'd have to get her attention somehow. Play his lute perhaps? Yes, that's a good idea. Orion got out his lute-a prized possession- and started playing a soft, light melody. The song was an old Imperial song, Land of Peace , but the song needed a singer. And that singer was her. Rosa heard the melody. She looked straight at him.
"What are you doing?"
Orion stopped immediately.
"I'msosorryitwon'thappenagainIpromisedoyouwannaseemesometime?"
"What?"
"Would.You.Like.To. See...my muscles?"
"Um, no thank you, I'm fine." Rosa then backed off and walked quickly to her house. I'm an idiot... He thought. Orion sighed, and headed back to the Grey Mare.

The Imperial City, Talos Plaza District, 2 weeks later
"You what?"
"I'm not repeating myself. You'll just tease me."
"That's what brothers are for, Orion."
Luc Marc, 2 years older than Orion Marc looked nothing like his brother. He had blonde hair, military style and kind, green eyes.
"How bout' some wine?" Orion spoke, changing the subject. Luc smiled, causing crinkles on the corners of his eyes.
"Only when you tell me again, my dear brother."
"No. Flippin'.Way."
"Aw, c'mon, just one more t-"
His sentence was cut short by a group of Imperial City guards that had barged into his house.
"Orion Marc, you little devil, damn you! You're wanted for the murder of the Drakell Family!"
A look of confusion spread across Orion's face.
"Whatever do you mean?"
“You’re under arrest! A trial will be held, and the Captain shall decide your fate.”
"No!" Orion screamed. He picked up a silver dagger by the table and swung at one of the guards. But it didn't seem to help. One guard unsheathed his sword and hit Orion on the temple with the butt of the sword. Orion dropped like a sack of potatoes and lay unconscious, sprawled across the floor. Luc stood by, doing nothing to help. He was much too shocked, and stood by as the guards dragged him away.

Chapter 2- Jailbird

The Imperial City Jail

The air was damp. Orion groaned in pain and awoke; he opened his eyes but all was dark. What is this place? Where am I? He thought. The brick walls stood high, and sunlight shone through the iron windowed bars. Jail. By the gods, I'm in jail! "What am I doing here?" He whispered to himself. Orion closed his eyes; hoping darkness would take him away. Then he heard something. Footsteps? Must be. He opened his eyes and saw a young Imperial guard, around 25, glaring at him through the irons bars. He could not see his face well, but saw an outline where the light hit. "You and I are going to get to know each other well, we are." The guard finally spoke, "a crazy little monster, ain't cha'? The Drakell family? Murdered! By your blood-thirsty hands!" He yelled. "Now, I'm gonna make your life miserable, very miserable. This is where you will die, and rot, and if you're lucky, the gallows shall become your friend." The young guard then walked off. He could not look into the murderers eyes any longer.

Drakell family? Drakell. Family. Family. Rosa! Rosa Drakell! Orion was breathing heavily. Rosa was killed! Murdered! She never had any brothers, but only one sister and a mum. Her father had died in a burning building. Anger built up inside Orion. I'm going to kill the [censored] that killed you! But I'm innocent! Why am I here? He felt like crying. First his mother, then his father and now Rosa! He just wanted to scream at the world, tell it how angry he was. He had to prove his innocence first, get out and kill the real murderer. But how? The guards would never believe him. Unless...He escaped! Orion would wait for a guard to walk by his cell, and he would poke his arms through the bars and try to put the guard in a strangle hold. He would get the keys and freedom was his to claim. No way am I dying in here. Orion moved closer to the iron jail gate hiding in the shadows, and waited.

Footsteps grew louder. The noise came closer. And whistling? A jail guard whistling a merry tune in a place like this? What is wrong with the world? The jail guard came closer...Closer...Closer. He would have to be close enough to his iron jail door if needed to grab hold of the guard. This wasn't a problem, since the passageway was narrow. A figure in Imperial armour walked by. Now! Orion shoved his arms through the iron bars and grabbed the guard by the neck and performed the strangle hold through the bars. The guard tried to call for help, but all that come out was a silent scream. The body went limp, and Orion eased his grip, but didn't let go. I must be quick. A second guard could come any second. When he was sure the guard was unconscious, Orion let him down gently, his heart was beating like crazy. Keys, keys, keys!Orion searched the guard, which was a tad difficult, because there were iron bars in the way. A large iron ring hung with keys hung onto the guard’s belt. Orion stretched his hands out, reaching for the keys, he hooked his fingers around the ring gotcha! After a few seconds of jingling the keys loose, he managed to only get 3 keys. Orion was unsure if these were the correct keys, but he would have to try. He tried the first key, bending his arm around and slotting the key into place, then turned it. Nope. The second key. Nope. A bead of sweat trickled down his forehead, tension building up in his chest.”C’mon, c’mon, this has to work.” He peered down onto the guard’s belt; only 2 rings left on there, but alas, they were too far to reach, so all would fail if this was not the correct key. Bingo! Luck must be on my side today! Orion swapped apparel with the jail guard, even though it was a little big for his size. The guard now lay in the cell, knocked out, as Orion locked the cell door behind him. He looked around to see if any other cell mates witnessed what just happened, but again with Luck, there were no prisoners on this floor. He headed off to find out who had framed him, and get revenge.

East of Cheydinhal
A dark hooded man in robes walked through the forest, his head bowed, dark shadows covering his face. He saw someone in the distance walking like him also. Who could that be? Orion wondered. As he drew closer, he saw that it was a female Redguard, with straight hair tied back in a ponytail. The Redguard stopped in her tracks and turned around, “who are you? And why are you following me?!” she said angrily. “I was just passing by!” He lied.
“Oh Azura, please! That is most pathetic lie I’ve ever heard!”
“But it’s....”
“Step away, or I’ll kill you!” Is she serious? Orion sighed, he had a strange feeling he could trust this girl to help him. “Please, just hear me out.” Then he told her everything, will she believe me? She frowned, then nodded “what you say is the truth, your eyes say it. By the way, the name’s Maya. Well met.” Orion was relieved, “Orion, is what they all call me.” Then he said “you’ve got to help me, but first, I need a place to stay.”
“Of course, there’s an abandoned house north of here. You can stay there awhile.”
“Thank you.”
She nodded to say ‘you’re welcome’, and gestured for him to follow her.
