Craziest Encounters!

On the subject of swimming horses, I was chasing Claude Maric after emerging from Malada, and found him trying to ride across the river by Fort Entius, even though he was right next to the bridge. He left his horse and continued swimming, out of the water and up the bank. He was still swimming in mid-air when his horse caught up to him and he re-mounted and rode off.

Related to the "arresting the hillside", I've had a rock kill a legionary before now. It turned out that a timber wolf had spawned inside the rock and the legionary couldn't reach it, but somehow it could reach him. Had to TCL to see it.

Had a funny enoucnter in a oblivion gate the other day where I was about to enter the tower but an archer and two mages were in the way. As I proceded to attack them they ran off as they always do right into lava and died within seconds

I found a Gang that had a Hole in the Wall one time.

So Cador was busy assaulting this Marauder stronghold inside an old fort ( i cant remember the name. I just found it as I was taking him North from Bravil to the Imperial City I think). I ran full speed down a corridor and tried to bend around a turn but accidentally clipped a wall... except he didnt clip the wall and instead went right on through it.. into this weird grey space within the walls... there was a bit of floor too but Cador was running fast and couldnt stop in time. He ended up falling down, down dooowwn into a grey pit of nothingness. :ahhh:

At first I was shocked.. and then annoyed that such a weird glitch had just canceled the last 2-3 hours of dungeon diving ... until he suddenly (apparently) hit the bottom.. which was a magic portal back to outside the wall... But on the other side of the corridor!!

After saving I decided this warranted further investigation and spent quite a bit of time jumping into and out of that hole :poke: ... Within the wall was a four-sided space... And patches of land around the edges. I made Cador jump between them and fall into different parts of the hole... Realizing that different sections spat me out at different locations!! All nearby that same funky, intangible wall though. Was kinda hoping to pop out in a random spot somewhere in the wilderness of Cyrodil. Finally a nearby Marauder noticed the activity and attacked. That was when I realized that Cador was down to 25% health!! Each jump must have been draining a bit of HP!! Cador had to flee in order to recover his health before facing the marauder. That was the weirdest thing Ive discovered lately. :D

This has happened to me a few times. The first time, I was cave-romping and happened to hit one of the roots that always hangs down. I got shot downward, watching hopelessly as the cave got farther and farther away. The game went black after a few moments, and as I screamed a colorful variety of obscenities, I appeared at the entrance of the cave.

One day I was crossing the bridge at Fort Alessia and saw something strange out in Lake Rumare. It looked like someone on horseback swimming across the lake. I dove in to take a closer look, and sure enough, it was an Imperial Legion rider. How on Nirn he ever decided to go swimming with Mr. Ed I have no idea. He even paused several times to dismount, swim over to mudcrabs, and kill them. Then he would go back to his horse and mount up again (still in the water mind you), and they would swim on. It was the weirdest thing ever. Has anyone else ever seen these maritime patrols? Where was this guy when the Bloated Float was hijacked?

Then later I came upon http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/subrosa_florens/oblivion/Oblivion464.jpg

I think that one takes the cake.

Once, I was happily loping around the Colovian Highlands when I happened to come across two Imperial Watchmen dueling with their silver bows. Not only were they in a fight to the death, but they were trash talking the entire time, calling each other curs and such. And, finally, after what seemed like the longest fight ever, one of them was killed, the other walking victoriously on his way. Has anyone else had this happen to them? btw, I got a free silver bow at level 3 AND a free suit of imperial armor from it:D

Happens a lot near Rielle. One forester shoots a deer, the other one thinks the first one attacked a horse, which is a crime, duel to the death ensues.

I was doing the cheydinhal oblivion gate, where you have to escort Farwil though it. On the bridge before entering the tower there was a group of dremora, I slashed at one with my dagger until it fell off the bridge then turned on the other. After it died, I looked around to find Farwil, and get a message saying he is dead. It turns out the dremora I knocked into the lava was still alive, and was on solid ground, Farwil's corpse was in the lava
