Planning around Skyrim

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 10:32 pm

I never been so excited for a game ever!!!

I essentially need to have surgery on both my knees( my knees are pretty shot). Since the surgery is not a necessary surgery that needs to happen in the immediate future to repair previous fixes but needs to happen within 9-14 months I decided today to book the surgery for 11-8-11 and i will arrive at my house back the night of 11-10-11. Recovery time is expected to be 3-6 weeks and at that time will be using leave and not having to work. Great thing is with both knees getting worked on that means a lot of couch time due to not walking and being restricted from walking. The question is this are any of you going to plan around the release of skyrim for maximum nerdtastic awesomeness?

I haven't planned it out yet. I know I'm going to the nearest village so that I can scope it out and get supplies or steal items :celebration:

I'm totally obsessed with this game, but being a university student I don't really have time constraints (right now I have 9 hours of class a week :lmao: being the nerd I am, a lot of the free time I have goes into games already) and so I don't really need to plan ahead since I'll have time anyway; but yeah if I worked or had things to do I'd probably begin making arrangements :D

Sorry to hear about your knees btw, though it's good to see that your health problems are becoming mixed blessings - a month of couch time for Skyrim sounds A-OK to me

Unfortunately november is the busiest time of year for my work, so even a weeks holiday is out of the question, and friday is my longest working day, so it'll be a weekend situation for me.

I'm currently unemployed and have been looking for a job for a while now. UNFORTUNATELY I'LL PROBABLY HAVE A STUPID JOB PREVENTING ME FROM PLAYING SKYRIM 24/7. STUPID SOCIETY.

But in all seriousness, I can safely say that I'm really excited about Skyrim. I'm not excited about much. As a matter of fact, I'm almost never excited about anything, and certainly not a video game. I play a ton of them, but I never care when new games come out and when a new one comes out in a series I like, I usually don't know about it until a few weeks after it's been released. Yet, here I am, actually on the official forums for the game nearly a year before it's out so I can discuss it. I am excited.

Ironically enough, I kid you not ,the issues stem from a car accident I had back in 2006 when I got sideswiped on my way to pick up oblivion. Dude ran a red light cliped the back of my bike. I was a freshman in college and after it was all said and done I had a new motorcycle and about a month and a half of oblivion...So TES has create much fun and many striffes

I will have Graduated high school and will either be going to college or having a full time job as an Electrician :shocking:

But every second I get, I will be playing skyrim

Already booked the following week off work  Only thing is, I won't be able to play it on release as it's the bfs birthday - but knowing I've got the next week off to play should make up for it!

Ah, relationships can't live with them, can't live without them.
