Hey, I was wondering how the many books in Tamriel were made. Are they all hand written, or do basic printing presses exist? Or is woodblock printing present? If anyone has come across any reference to this I would welcome any information or book titles. Just pure curiosity. If not, then I guess I'll have to decide for myself or wait until they tell us maybe in the next game. Thanks in advance!

There's first of course, the famed University of Gwylin Press, then the guys who print the Black Horse Courier, also the printers of the "Common Tongue" in Mournhold. I think we can assume that Tamriel has a fairly well-established printing/press infrastructure. I vaguely remember that the "Common Tongue"-hideout even had a printing press model in the game - I can't check that right now.

The only other possibilities include using magic, But that's a very long shot. About as long as the damned ever lasting series about Barenziah.

Well, the fact that you can get some books/broadsheets for 2 gold (Oblivion economy, 20-25 Morrowind) implies that books are indeed printed. I always imagined that there was a magical aid to printing books, though mechanical in nature (magic kept the machine running).

There are no printing press models, but I remember a mod that added one two this place.

With the tons of books being sold in the Empire's economy, I'm sure they are printed.
