Silencers

If I remember correctly, Silencers are barrel-end attachments and Forgrips are underbarrel attachments.

Front attachments:
6 muzzle break
4 muzzle break
silencer

Under barrel attachments:
gun sling
foregrip

I wont post all the mag and scope attachments.

At 1:17 there a several examples of silencers.

I know that it is an old video but it shows that at the time they had developed more than one. :)


Actually there's only one, muzzle breaks aren't silencers, they just reduce the recoil.

Well, we know that there are at least two. Really no need for more than that, unless different silencers have different effects on your gun's stats (fingers crossed). I'm more curious as to how the muzzle breaks will affect my guns. I don't want a silencer on my shotgun, but my OCD is already telling me that I can't leave my shotgun's barrel attachment slot empty. I just can't.

4 muzzle break decreases recoil but decreases accuracy. 6 muzzle break decreases both even more.

(What could a silencer do besides drop you damage? Well in games anyway)

In MAG silencers reduced your accuracy, not your damage, for some odd reason. I actually have no clue what stats silencers could logically bring down aside from damage and range. It was just a thought.

Anyway...hmm...reducing recoil on a pump action shotgun seems pretty pointless. I wonder what other barrel options we'll get...... . . .

Well most silenced weapons use sub-sonic ammo so a range drop as well as damage drop would make more sense.

There's also grenade launchers confirmed, but they've only been seen on assault rifles.

I want a grenade launcher on my grenade laucher. *thoom-thoom*

Or a grenade laucher on my minigun. YOU ARE GOING TO NEED MUUUCH BIGGER GUNS.

I haven't seen any indication of it at all, but having a front end choke for the shotguns would be cool, and actually make sense.

Pretty sure the Psycho pre-order silencers will just be variants. AoT: 40th Day had like a million different suppressors that had all degrees of effect depending on what else you equipped. Some sacrificed a lot or power for great silencing, some just provided minor silencing whilst preserving some power, etc.

Erm, silencers increase accuracy without significantly hurting the impact of the round in real life. Logically, adding a silencer to a weapon within a game should increase your accuracy, but reduce your range because there has to be a give and take. Reduced range can be written off as using sub-sonic ammo, which actually doesn't reasonably affect your range all that much in use.

I was really hoping for some information on the issue. It really hasn't been confirmed whether there isn't more than 1 suppressor. The problem that I have is that the dev videos all seem to have the unique weapons and options. Maybe there IS only 1 suppressor, but the Psycho pack unlocks it early, like the Greeneye for the Spec Ops pack.

They confirmed there will be alternatives to EVERY item included in the pre-order packs.

There are scopes other than the pre-order Greeneye, there's at least one Silencer available other than the Psycho Pack one, there's another Machine Pistol, there's another Revolver...

Just like different scopes and sight attachments work differently and have different stats, so do the silencers and weapons. Hockler has different stats from the other Machine Pistol, Caesar has different stats from the other Revolver. And the silencers will have different stats as well.
