Stat perks

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 1:40 am

I was a big fan of the Skill perks in Oblivion - those little extra bonuses you'd get related to your skills everytime you reached a new mastery level (25, 50, 75, 100).

I was thinking it would be cool to have a similar system in place for stats.

Like, maybe your magicka doesn't regenerate until you have 50+ willpower, or at 100 Strength you can one-hand a two-handed weapon... or other things like this. Anyone else got any ideas of how as system like this would work out?

There aren't even going to be "stats".

Are you paying attention to the updates?

That isn't confirmed. No official word on attributes yet.

Agreed.

At LEAST change them up. Instead of raising them by level, at least make it so they raise automatically depending on the skills we raise. Either way, we need a change.

The old system is...well...getting old. ;)

Oh, I thought I read somewhere stats were out. Classes are definitely out though, right?

As long as they don't use S.P.E.C.I.A.L. for stats I'll be happy :P

Classes are out, yeah. I'm sure you've heard people say attributes are out, and there are reasons to think so, but it hasn't been confirmed.

Classes are out, yeah, but you can still design your character to how you perceive your class to be. As for attributes, I hope that the system uses the SPECIAL system FO3/NV at the very least, GCD/nGCD at best (your stats are raised as you raise your skills)

Listen, I know you;re trying to help, but I think that whatever Todd & Co do with the stats will be the RIGHT MOVE for Skyrim. You have to have faith in Bethesda that if the remove stats, change them, or even keep the old systems IT'S FOR THE BEST.

Faith in Bethesda...

Faith in Todd...

Faith in Skyrim...

Some people believe that an absence of evidence is evidence of an absence. Unfortunately, that is not so.
