Daggerfall Letter Opener : The Elder Scrolls Series Discussion

I heard daggerfall came with a letter opener in some kinda special edition, yet i can not find it any where on the internet. Does anyone know where there are pics of it or even where i could buy it?

intriguing... I've searched online a couple times and fail to even find any other mention of them, other than this thread. does anyone else have more information about them? or any other Elder Scrolls memorabilia for that matter; im always looking to expand my elder scrolls collection.

About all I have is the Ordinator from Morrowind and the stuff that came with the Collector's Edition of Oblivion. Almost bought on ebay one of the Redguard boxes that supposedly had the original cloth map but I didn't trust the seller.

Don't have a pic but I have seen one. it's the Daggerfall D with a blade coming down from the bottom. Pretty dang cool. It popped up in a thread way back, I'd like to say it was Mark Jones who had it.

IIRC he was looking to auction it off, unfortunately it seems that thread has dropped off the forums. I'll try PMing him to see if he's still got any photos of it.

Wait, Redguard had a cloth map? I thought it was paper...

And I distinctly recall someone (GT?) telling us in IRC many years ago that certain maps were burnt on the wrong edges, so they completely fell apart upon opening.

Redguard only had paper maps. Mine is nicely burnt at the outer edges.

I don't think you'd be able to find one at retail anywhere unless someone was selling an old one on ebay or something. We have one in the trophy case downstairs, along with mint copies of all the games we've put out over the years - including Where's Waldo - but that's the only one I've seen. There's also a Septim coin, a Redguard miniature and a few other neat bits.

We might be able to do that at some point.

As for the Daggerfall letter, if I recall, one of our moderators, Attrebus, has an original copy with the letter. The copy in the trophy case is the only one I know of in the office, so I'd hate to crack that open.

Still no reply from Mark. I think he only checks the email address of his portfolio site every once in a while, as it doesn't get much attention nowadays. I'll let you guys know if he ever replies.
