State of hibernation

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 4:35 am

I've been watching these forums since Skyrim was announced. Recently I've joined just for the sake of fans sum. I have to state that harsh environment of Vvardenfell was my home for many years, and I went to Cyrodiil for a little tour and to stop Mehrunes. Piece of cake, that was. Those Daedra are getting easier to handle nowadays...

But now, the Oblivion-Morrowind "conflict" is getting under my skin. I realize that I'm a Morrowind fan, because I'm that kind of person - I want to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life-forms and to boldly go where no one has gone before, not knowing on what I might stumble upon. Morrowind compared to Oblivioni - Dracula compared to Twilight. Don't get me wrong, I quite enjoyed Twilight, since I'm quite gay, too.

But, the point of my topic...

Did anyone consider backing of the whole Skyrim fuss for the sake of mental calmness, and just start playing the game once It's on your systems? Of course, backing of after the first gameplay footage. =)

I'm interested if we have such strength, and does anyone else have a quest of personal nature similar to my own?

I've considered it, mostly after reading yet another clone of a clone of a clone of a whinging about spears/spell making/cut skills/DUMBED DOWN OMG/etc thread. I think my problem is, deep down, I really love being angry at people I perceive as wrong.

No way - once I get interested in something I really latch on, even if it does mean I never get the nice surprised feeling others get when they play without knowing everything you possibly could before release. I just can't help myself.

And comparing Oblivion to Twilight? Wow, that's harsh. :P

Maybe in a month or two I'll be able to stop checking for updates. Probably not.

Voted "no". I'm too weak. I'll devour all that I can on Skyrim well before 11/11/11.

It's my intention to go dark on information once the first gameplay footage is shown. That's all I need; just one brief video to guide my imagination/anticipation in the right direction. That way I won't be imagining something that's inaccurate. I want to be surprised by the rest from that point on, though.

Until the first footage is shown though, the info that comes out is fair game to me because I have to keep checking for said footage.
