Creative armor/cloth designs !

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 2:07 am

In the last ES games (Morrowind, oblivion) I noticed that armor/cloth designs were lacking (oblivion more than morrowind) I want to know if you liked the stuff you wore in those games, and if you would like to see much more "stylized/creative" stuff in ES 5.

I mean this in an ecstatic way, I won't go into the lack of magic items now, just the overall design of armor/cloths, the patterns the cuts...etc.
personally I would love to see much more creative things, I would love to see robes and capes that "flow" and have awesome ruins and stuff on them and maybe some light armor pieces! chain robe!! :)
all the weapons/armor/cloths in Oblivion were too "normal" and uninteresting.

they should really try to spice things up a bit this time especially for high leveled items, robes in oblivion looked like things my grandmother would wear, I mean honestly!

what do you think!?

You are saying that they were not lacking in Arena and Daggerfall???

Morrowind had some great clothing if you ask me. The Expensive and Exquizit clothing was great looking and I enjoyed wearing in in game immensly. I do not see why you think morrowind was lacking but Oblivion's vlothing was a bit plain. It looked better than Morrowind's IMO but I agree with you that they should go all out for the next installment.

I hope they make fur clothing if its in Skyrim. Other than that this should be in the Suggestions topic.

To clarify: clothing can be more creative, as long as it is done to add atmosphere to the environment, not to make your character look bad-butt or create some 'cool' ensemble. Some of the clothing in Morrowind was fantastic in this. Cyrodiil's attire also fit with its environment, though by its nature it was rather mundane.

Definitely, I'd like regional clothing. Like you can only get (X) item in (X) town, you can only find (X) items in seaside cities, etc.

So long as they don't overdo it. As Lady N pointed out.

...this should be in the Suggestions topic.

What Mankar said.
