I am really in the planing of a fanfic. First, I just want suggestions and advice.


The fic will be either 1st or 3rd person (probably 3rd) and it will follow a warrior who obtains umbra and slowly lets it consume him.


Thing I want to know from you guys is, would you like to see it? has it been done before? should he find umbra or kill someone who posseses it? and any other general ideas or plot suggestions.


Any help or comments would be appreciated, thank you.

I've always thought about doing this. I say you do a sort of history of Umbra, showing it fall into the hands of both the orc in Morrowind and the woman in Cyrodiil, and finally into a hero's hand who manages to tear himself from it's grasp and destroy it. "The History of Umbra" sounds good.

I like that, I may do that, or an even earlier version of umbra. Maybe I should even try it from the swords point of view.

A 3rd person perspective really builds up suspense and its more descriptive and easier to write, while with a 1st person perspective you could start of with one personality but have it change as it slowly deteriorate as umbra infects his mind.. Either way it could be interesting.

I will probably do first person, it was cause me either and epicfail or and epicwin

I started one but never got around to finishing it. But I didn't start the story with the main character obtaining the sword, but rather a foreign warrior taking the sword for his own and another under the command of the Champion of Cyrodiil to find him and kill him. But your plan definitely sounds interesting. It's definitely an interesting topic, go for it
