Run Animation

Is it just me or is it really annoying? In First-Person view, I hate the way the gun moves when the player runs. I wish it were more like Battlefield or... even CoD. Just a petty thing I noticed.

And plus I focus more on the crosshair and sights rather than the little model on the bottom right of my screen.

I think everything in first person looks great. I think it really accents the energy your char is using. But im not sure about the third person animations. When i was watching one of the game play videos, i felt like they looked a little too common. Like the animations wernt dynamic enough. Thats just me being picky though. And im not going to really judge until i get my hands on it myself. But as far as first person goes, I really enjoy just about everything brink has done, from SMART to ADS and everything in between ^-^

Im counting down the days until the 10th....

Actually... steam is doing that for me... :x

I agree with the Op. The guns look [censored] swaying around in my face. They sway way more slowly and realisticly in bfbc2.

Look, I'm not a huge CoD fan, but just because we're all sick of it doesn't mean everything Brink does has to be the exact antithesis of CoD. CoD has good, borrowable features, some of which I'm sure Brink has already borrowed from.

I'm no fan of CoD, but it certainly isn't a horrible, evil force like everyone makes it out to be..

I might be wrong , but I think you can change that in your config with a command. (At least that was the case in other games running the same engine....)

I must say, I do agree with you there. One big thing Call of Duty Modern Warfare introduced, were the really great animations, where the avatar doesn't simply run straight forward because the player does, but moves left and right a little (at least while holding larger weapons than Pistols or Machine Pistols).
Those animations were a big step up.

Bad Company 2 doesn't display realistic gun movement at all.

If you've ever tried to carry a gun that stable while moving, or especially while sprinting, you'd notice it moves left and right all the time. The thing is, in real life you recognise the gun from feeling it's weight in your hands, while you're actually focusing on the ground and your surroundings.

I like it, I just hope it won't feel too heavy like KZ2, especially the reload animations were disorienting.

I like the first-person animations, I think they're distinctly more realistic and more interesting (almost more importantly, here). If you run around carrying a military-grade firearm you are going to move your arms while running. A lot.

i agree it looks ridiculous its almost like he has to move his arms or his gun around just so the rest of his body can move just wierd your charactor is moving the gun back in forth 3 times each step

Okay. Stop putting cod next to brink to compare. Brink staff's objective was to NOT be like callofdutyyyy. So if you could stop hurting my feelings about CADDDD... Vs brink. Thad be nice.
To respond to original post: You might be able to fix this on pc. But for consoles youll get use to it. Ive also had friends say its annoying. BUT it is more realistic this way.
