Last night I decided to do The Superhuman Gambit quest and something very odd is happening. After killing the AntAgonizer, my game began to crash like crazy. At first nothing happened, I made it back to The Mechanist fine, but as soon as I tried to quicksave, the game crashed. I loaded it up several times and each attempt got the same result, it then started doing it on autosaving as well. I reloaded a save made when I got to Canterbury Commons but before I started doing the quest and quicksaving there also resulted in crashing. Going back to a save made about an hour before all this started, before entering Canterbury Commons, and attempting to save did not result in any crashes. So starting from that point I tried doing it all over again and got the same results, after doing something in Canterbury Commons any kind of save attempt will result in the game crashing.

Anyone know what could be causing this to happen?

A crash on save, in my experience, almost allways occurs when 2 mods are in conflict somehow. Look for mods that change
something in the CC area.
Other than that, I am afraid there is no easy answer or cure for the crash on save problem.
All you can do is uncheck a few mods at a time in FOMM, reload, try to save, rinse and repeat, till you find the offending mod.

there is nothing to do with the anagonizer, to fix this issue you need to die (in game ofcourse), and then relload and the problem will be fixed, its wierd yes but it works.

About saving in general: don't autosave, DEFINATELY don't autoload, and get http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3729 instead.

Hrm, will give it a shot later. That is pretty weird, first time in all the time of playing FO3 where I've had something like this happen.

edit: Yeah, that did fix it. Unfortunately I ended up crashing for some other reason after I went back to Megaton for something.

edit 2: While that did fix it, it seemed to start doing it again in short order.

Will also check into this. I take it this works like Streamline does for Oblivion?

I think its time to start a new game or something, I dunno what it is but every time I quit and load up one of these saves after that point in Canterbury Commons the saves start acting up and crashing when I try and save unless I kill myself first.

edit: Something is kinda funny with CASM, when I reload a save where corpses were around me (Talon Merc and Raider ones anyway) sometimes the corpses will be floating in midair in a default pose.

OK on my new game the same kind of stuff is happening, there is definitely something going wrong in this area of the game and I have no idea what it could be. I don't know of any mod Im using that would be changing this area of the game aside from FOOK (I assume its what adds some new guard NPCs around this area) and MMM in the case of mobs spawning around here.
