Well, it's somewhat difficult to make a suggestion when you use practically all the retextures I do... :)

That said, if you don't mind individual retexes, http://www.fallout3nexus.com/modules/members/index.php?id=1093218 should be right up your alley. They're mostly for weapons, but he has a few armor retexes too.

http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12132 - Overlaps with NMC's somewhat, but also retextures some stuff that NMC did not touch.

Any Low quality ones that are an improovement upon the vallina "low" textures, and either optimized or just as good in performance?

Thanks for the bullet glass one povu. The irony of the mod now however is the vanilla glass itself looks like crap lol Any realistic/improved glass mods?

The vanilla water bottles are in the shape they would have been back in the 50's. Down side is of course the vanilla look like crap. So conflicted because the skykappa ones are atleast somewhat glass like =/

Nice Topic, I was looking for something like this, too.
Just added some from your list to mine. :)

I always wondered, why people create something big like NMC's texure pack, but leave weapons and armor/cloth out.

Do you know if there are any good weapon and armor retextures?
And I actually mean retextures, not just the standard textures sharpened up a bit like most mods I found are like.

An example of what I would like to see more is this: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=897
That's one really awesome retexture, though it's only one weapon.

I agree with ya, IPodge. I'll just quote myself here...

Just click the link in the quote, and scroll down. I recommend the .44 magnum retexture, the 10mm pistol retexture, and the .33 pistol retexture. Actually... I recommend most of RogueTrooperPL's stuff.

Personally, I'd like to see a texture replacer that isn't all "add rust to everything" or "resize and sharpen", but I've yet to find one. I don't suppose anyone knows any?

If you're talking about weapons; not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for but http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14006 replaces all vanilla weapons with insanely detailed modern real-life weapons plus adds dozens of uniques to find and an interesting quest too.

You could go in the opposite direction with http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13371. There' s a big update coming for it in a few weeks.

See, my main problem is that texture replacers tend to stray way too far from the original in terms of how things look - http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/images/12056-2-1270558651.jpg and http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/images/12056-3-1270651084.jpg look pretty damn good, for instance, but http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/images/12056-4-1270557977.jpg and http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/images/12056-1-1270651320.jpg seem to make little sense in the context of the game.
Restoreout sits on the complete opposite side of the "clean - messy" scale - and so, too makes little sense as well!

Two hundred years of negligence is a long time, but sufficiently long enough for things to be rusty and messy - but generally not long enough for them to be overly so.

Just added some of the suggestions to my list ^_^

I'm thinking of contacting mod authors for permission to use their textures so that I could make a compilation of all the best texture replacers. >_> I will see about getting on that this weekend.

Compilations are not bad for individuals. But having this thread as is with multiple choice seems to me a better option. I rather pick and choose each item as rox points out. Some things are good while other items are kinda off the mark.

You know, I think you are right. But I think I might make an attempt at making packages of mods that relate. For instance there are a series of really good armor mods that are made by the same author yet people download one set but not the rest.
I think, to some users at least, it would be convenient to download, a complete armor pack or such. Another thing, I found annoying while searching for Textures/Meshes are clutter mods, i have 3 clutter mods and yet they still don't cover all of the ingame
clutter.

There is a rather nice armor/clothing mod that has a bunch of miscellaneous crap in it....*off to get the link for you*
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12132

Took me awhile but this one has a high quality look to them without looking to modern =)
