Dwarves?

That being said, Morrowind didn't do a whole lot about it gameplay-wise. Dwemer artifacts and Ebony armour weren't contraband. It would have been interesting if it were necessary to unequip all your Dwemer and Ebony armour before heading into town, for fear of getting arrested.

Interesting? Yeah, probably. svck @$$, most definitely. Dude, it'd be cool at first for the added realism, but (just like the fatigue system in MW) would get woefully tedious after about 10 minutes of play. Now, I can fix the fatigue system. I just enchant something early on, but what am I to do about the armor short of making a chameleon artifact or something? Not cool.

It would have been no different than what they did with Indoril armour. I don't see the problem.

Let's not forget Ordinator armor, and the problems that arise from wearing it.

Because the Dwemer were wiped out.

acctually there is 1 dwarf left in the world....unfortunatly he has corprus, is attached to the legs of a centrion spider, has lived for thousands of years w/ no memory of it, and is deep in the corprussarium.

I think they know, but it's close enough to constitute obliteration...

I do. It svcked when you got caught wearing Indoril Armour. That's why you leave it alone. Now, we can't wear dwarven or ebony?

One "no no" suit is fine. A little frustrating, but fine. Having too many suits of armor like that severely limits your armor choices. That kinda' blows a little.

I believe that the Emperor's edict only applied to Dwemer artifacts, raw ebony, and raw glass. As for Dwemer artifacts, people say that they never heard of anyone arrested for it. It seems that it does not apply to armors and weapons, as a dunmer wears dwemer armor at Ebonheart. Even that smuggler in Ald-ruhn couldn't get arrested when you turn over his dwemer tube; it only happens after he's linked to an ebony smuggling ring.

The Dwemer are a quit intresting and hot debating issue, and I hope for shakes Betheseda leaves it that ways (it gives a bit of orginality from tolkien-

I have been seeing more and more of these falsehood tolkien created all things rpg, this is not true the Norse mythology is the actual starting point to these stories, also you could look to ancient China with their dragon philophosy.I do not know exacatly what has been fueling this recently,Tolkien works influenced alot of great starters like Gary Gyaxx who was the creator of D&D.But children though out history have been playing in the fields slaying dragons fighting elves and what not with there imagination. And the dwemer are dwarves if you don't believe me go to Tel Fyr and speak to the "last of the living dwarves".

I like Astions idea. Sure you could waltz into a city all buffed up and ready for a fight to the death. But being more realistic, what would the magistrate say about that? An immersive story-line always beats gameplay.

I dislike the Dwemer being called Dwarves, it confuses people alot.

As for their dissappearance, after playing the games that shed light on it, what is your PERSONAL theory? Me? At the moment I have none. I need to write up what my beliefs are whenever I get the time.

"The first to see him was the Shop Foremer, Kagrenac of Vvardenfell, the wisest of the tonal architects [Mechanists - MN] Do not think as others do that Kagrenac created the Anumidum for petty motivations, such as a refutation of the gods. Kagrenac was devoted to his people, and the Dwarves, despite what you may have read, were a pious lot-he would not have sacrificed so many of their golden souls to create Anumidum's metal body if it were all in the name of grand theater. Kagrenac had even built the tools needed to construct a Mantella, the Crux of Transcendence. But, by then, and for a long time coming, the Doom of the Dwarves marched upon the Mountain and they were removed from this world."
