Need a Data Backup folder

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 10:37 pm

I need the vanilla data folder for oblivion since my backup got overwriten. Now i got a mess of mods i no longer want and some screw with my other mods. I just got the stuff for the load order of mods. But some mods will not pick up in my original Oblivion Launcher data files. So i want to put oblivion back to default and start over. This time i know alot more about what to use to keep things running smoothly so if anyone knows were i can get the original data folder or can post there backup folder that would be sick.

Posting the folder would be illegal. You'll probably just have to reinstall. Unless there's another way to go about it.

Yes. Reinstall.

If you can't reinstall, end this thread because any other comments you have will surely be against the Terms of Service for both Oblivion and these boards.

Or....you could just reinstall in less time it would take to download said folder...

Not to mention this would avoid the illegal nature of the request :)

1.) Uninstall Oblivion.
2.) Delete the install folder (i.e. C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks)
3.) Reinstall
5.) Purchase oblivion since it sounds like you're being oh-so-playful around the topic of pirating.

If you uninstall the game it won't remove the mods you have in the Data folder. You need to delete those manually.

Also delete the "My Documents\My Games\Oblivion" folder as data is stored there as well.

I have purchased Oblivion and Fallout 3 GOTY Editon for the 360 along with all addon in the marketplace. So bethesda has got there money from me.
In other words i OWN Oblivion so this in no means is pirating. But as for my computer version of the game i didnt see a point in buying a game i already own when i belong to a great community were free stuff comes in droves.

Besides i didnt pirate the game and sell it.

And im sure most of you DL free music so thats pirating as well. We are all sinners deal with it.
