HGEC Issue

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 9:14 pm

I was trying out HGEC, and even though I liked the new meshes/textures I noticed that my feet/hands are not getting the same treatment.

As can be seen on the following http://i41.tinypic.com/foofme.jpg - the textures are not in sync. When I am standing in my underwear (my char...eh) it is less noticeable. Once I put some clothes on, it changes immensely (skin on my arms/legs gets darker as well).

I only recently finished a complex BAIN HGEC install, and I am sure I am not missing anything (triple checked). I have not bothered yet with the EVE meshes (especially those that change Vanilla clothes) - because this seems to be a texture problem, so I do not think it is related?

Do not think that my load order is of any importance, because I only installed OB - PyFFI Meshes - HGEC (have all the necessary files, I am sure of that).

Any thoughts?

Make sure BSA Redirection is checked in Wrye Bash. Right-click on the package tab to check. Your load order matters if you have multiple mods installed. It looks like the replacer is not fully installed or something. Do you have the replacer ESP installed?

It was fully installed, and no HGEC has no replacer ESP.

Anyways, I fixed it I guess. I tried "EVE Stock and Body clothing", and used the meshes that were included. I tried the regular body (upper/lower) meshes, made no difference (as expected, because they were overwriting the ones from my regular HGEC achieve).

I then tried the replacer meshes, and it replaced all the clothes from Vanilla (and UOP). Once in game the colors matched up, so I guess the problem lied with the regular clothing/armor meshes, rather than HGEC itself.

Oblivion sure has a learning curve, haha!

I assumed you were using the a mod such as the EVE stock replacer and had not installed the ESP for some reason. Stock replacers for female body mods typically come with ESPs to add female versions to certain files and whatnot. That's where I thought the "PyFFI" files came in, but I guess I read into your post too much, haha.

Happy gaming!

I should have formulated it better, my bad.

Aye I seen the ESP from the stock replacer, but I wanted to try the meshes first before activating it. In the end it made sense tho, took a while.. 7 AM, time to call it a night.
