I downloaded Arena but it says I need the floppy disk? I thought it was supposed to be a free download?

There is No need to install! just extract it, and then run it with dosbox!

okay I followed the instructions for dosbox but it's not working. I typed in Mount C C:\ but it just said "Mounting C:\ is NOT recommended. Please mount a subdirectory next time. Drive C already mounted with local directory C:\"

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I am typing exactly what they want me to type. THis is what the direction say should happen: "At this prompt, type "MOUNT C C:\" and push enter. Then type "C:" and push Enter. Then "CD \ARENA". Finally, "ARENA" to start the game."

it won't let me do that.

I'd install the game in a subdirectory such as Games so Arena would be in c:\games\arena

Then, in dosbox, use the commands

mount c c:\games (this avoids the "mounting c:\ is NOT recommended" message)
c:
cd arena
arena


It's not a good idea to install the game in c:\arena since DosBox really shouldn't be mounting the root in case something goes horribly wrong.

That error, isn't really an error, just a warning. You can still continue on with the rest of the commands.
