Daggerfall wont work for vista

I just downloaded the free version off of TES.com and now it wont let me install becasue i have vista. Is there a way to bypass this and if so can you thoroughly guide me through it?

Use DOSBox.

I cant make a backslash (\) in DOSBox. I need it to mount it i think

Shouldn't there be a backslash to the right of the left-shift key?
