Its the same objective gameplay as enemy territory quake wars and the customization is insane.

Enemy territory quake wars?

Good, good, you already know about ET:QW. Makes explaining it loads easier.

First off, they're made by the same developer. It's generally the same exact thing, but with major changes to the FPS genre. I have a post somewhere that perfectly describes it. I'll hunt that down.

EDIT: Here it is! I love this post!

It's around 2015. Scientists have made a giant man-made island, called the Ark. It is to house a maximum of 5,000 scientists, and everything is completely renewable.

Now it's 2045. You know when Al Gore said in An Inconvenient Truth that global warming could flood the world? That happened. Everyone is dead. The few survivors escaped to the Ark, which went from 5,000 max people to 50,000. There isn't enough food and fresh water to go around, and all of it is being hoarded by the original 5,000 - The Founders.

The Resistance is born, fighting for equal food, water, and resources. In return, the Security is born, fighting to save the Ark and to preserve the Founders' vision.

Some reasons that this is not any old shooter:

-There is no good guy or bad guy. The Resistance see the Security as oppressive and cruel. The Security see the Resistance as terrorists.
-SMART movement system. Hold down a button, and you seamlessly vault, mantle, and slide with ease. Mix that with actual jumping and crouching, and you can walljump, leap across large gaps, and slide tackle - Without having to be a pro!
-Ultra customization. Customize your hat. Your armor. Your tattoos. The iron sights on your gun. The grenade launcher on your shotgun. The double-ammo magazine on your SMG. Even your accent.
-Mingleplayer - There is NO difference between singleplayer, co-op, and multiplayer. Multiplayer is just taking the campaign and replacing all the bots with real people.
-Complete removal of no-skill kills. No noobtubes. No airstrikes instantly killing your team. Every attack that the enemy does, you can counter it. The control is in your hands.

we need to stop saying the custimization is insane. it clearly has its boundries and voids. i see where custimization has it limits and it depresses me.

True but much better than most FPS's on the market. If its not enough go play a dress up game.

I played ET:QW on my PC. Very fun game. By concidence I had no ideal the same people made this that made ET:QW. I thought it looked similar as in team play.

It's not perfect, but the character customization is more than likely the best as of now.

I mean, name one other online FPS where you can customize your accent.

It does has limits, but as far as the FPS genre goes it has a lot more than most, if not all titles that Ive personally played. If you dont want to say its "insane" then don't. But dont tell us what we can say.
Differing opinions ftw!

MAG does but other than that I agree that there is a lot of customisation options.

Well maybe not "insane" but damn good. I mean the only games I've seen with better customization are things like PWI, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, City of Heroes, City of Villains. But all those are RPGs or MMORPGs. For an FPS, Brink has pretty GD impressive customization.

Dont want you people thinkin i dont appreciate the custimization, cuz i do and i love how they did it, and the overall fact that they did it. but i diffenately dont think its "insane". but its diffenately a good example for other games. custimization is takin for granted now-a-days.

An easy to think of the game is as a blend between TF2 and Call of Duty. It is a military shooter complete with aim down sites, but there's also a flavor of class based action where everyone has a role to play on the battlefield. Add in parkour elements of vaulting, mantling, sliding, wall hoping, and wall jumping (think horizontal hop off wall), and you have Brink. Any other specific questions, feel free to ask.

No you didn't write that. Rammite did. I don't know why you're taking credit for it...your grammar is less developed than that paragraph's, so you can clearly tell they are written by two different people...
