Daggerfall character creation

I basically just started playing the game a few days ago. Got a char build going wanted to get yr guys opinion on it. Wanted to build an all out warrior who is very resistance to pretty much all forms of magic.

Special advantages

Resistant to frost/fire/shock/magic
Immune to paralysis
Rapid Healing General
Regenerate General

Special disadvantages

Inability toregenerate spell points
Light powered magery unable to use magic in darkness
Dark powered magery unable to use magic in light
Forbidden weaponary Hand to hand and Axe
Low tolerance to disease

I tried to make it so that my Char was much stronger by making myself Immune to shock/fire/frost/magic but your characters health start at like -1000 and u die instantly lol so i had to change it. I basically start off with 0 magic points. It's kind of funny, but i could care less for magic. I've put in about 20 hours so far on this char and i actually think i like it.

My race was A breton and basically just masters in longswords and shortswords. I don't care much for axes/blunt wapons/ranged weapons ect And i took everything i could off inteligence took it down to 20 i think and added it to Agility and Speed and little more to Endurance/willpower and strength. What ya think?

And just another question that goes with this i'm a big TES fan and was just wondering what year does the game start in? I know it's the Third Era, but does anybody know what year?

Umm it's 402 I think, for custom classes I like to make a spell casting warrior and keep the physical stats at 60 and become a werewolf to max out those stats.

I recommend that you should max out your speed and agility right away to make the game much easier and enjoyable for a warrior. Max agility so you can strike your enemies each time successfully and avoid their hits with relative ease. Max speed so you can move master and swing your weapon faster.

It's good to see that you picked immunity to paralysis as an advantage because it's almost a necessity to be immune to it. There are so many enemies including the tougher ones such as vampires that spam paralysis spells at you. It also makes spiders and giant scorpion complete jokes who would otherwise be a pain to kill.

I find the game would be incredibly frustrating if I couldn't use magic in dungeons. Being able to use spells for flying and moving through water is pretty important in a lot of dungeons.

Yea, before i started the game i watched some character creation tips on you tube and they said picking an Altmer is the way to go b/c they are immune to Paralysis i tried to do that but i picked breton b/c they are more immune to magic than any other. I don't know if u pick the race of a breton if it's true but i don't have to much trouble with daedra or some other things that cost more powerful spells.

Yea there was someone called boilerplate on youtube and he had a really good character creation tutorial where he picked a high elf as his race. He also had some other useful clips but unfortunately he took his account down.

It seems Daggerfall is favorable towards the high elf over other races because of its immunity to paralysis. That way you can pick another advantage that you may want to use such as 3X increased magic instead of having to pick immunity to paralysis for an advantage.

I picked a dark elf for my first character and I did pick immunity to paralysis as an advantage but was pissed that the dark elf doesn't have any racial advantages such as immunity or resistances.
