Daggerfall commands

Hello everybody,

Having created a simple nord warrior and being completely powned by anything I decided to do what I do best: sneak-attack and such. So made a kajiit char and put sneak as a major. Then I ran across the problem of not knowing which button it is to toggle the sneaking movement( if there is one). So could you please enlighten me on this subject. Any other tips would be appreciated.

Thanks

Under controls it's called crouch. Default configuration I think is D but you can change it to whatever button you want to.

Actually, there is a key for Stealth as well as Crouch. Stealth is better because you can stay standing up (walking around crouching is really annoying!). Both work, technically, because they both slow down your movement speed.

No really??

I was asking because I thought of the d key but all it said is crouch and when as soon as I come within range of a monster he immediatly spots me. So I guess 33% is not good at all.

Well, you did ask what the key was, and that would tell you. If you had already done this, then I am unsure why you needed to ask.

Stealth is affected by your movement speed. So walking is better than running, and stealth better than walking. Crouching also slows you down, so I suppose the best way to sneak up on someone is to sneak and crouch at the same time, although I haven't done any extensive testing on that.

Or better still: hop on over to your friendly neighborhood Mages Guild and make yourself a cheapo Invisibility (True) spell. That'll really improve your chances.
