Werewolf: Brain Damage - Aftermath

Spectre & ryace, my two hardcoe fans to death! :celebration: Or merely the ones that didn't go AWOL.

So assuming this 40% rule is a good one, what should be the threshold? 75%? E.g. If 15 out of 20 vote, then one who gets 40% of the votes gets lynched.

I dunno. It may be very difficult to get an execution with the 75% rule. In the last game, we had about 10 people vote on any given day. We may need to adjust that number after the first day

Alright. Did you read the rest by the way? Just asking because I remember as clearly as a summer midday's sun that some bloke went "lulz u dont h?v rewlset" while it had been posted thrice. :spotted owl: :violin: The 75% rule is only meant as an incentive to be active, because it's then that the lynching gets easier. There are other rules when other numbers are applied.

No, you aren't. Be assured. It was a more experienced player who behaved rudely to me lest I wouldn't take this game seriously. I hope he's seen I do. It's on the previous page, the kind of final one.

Please realize that this sort of behavior is unacceptable. If a person is to host then they must be able to look at things through an objective perspective and not belittle other members in the thread.

Those voting % are a little high, in my opinion. Increasing the % does not increase participation - they never have and never will correlate. It usually just breeds sheep with one word/sentence posts.

snip snippety snop

Please note this was not me as a host saying this. Merely me trying to act like a clown for a change, but ultimately failing because you obviously don't think it's the least funny. There are a number of things I could say about this, but while you're using words such as "unacceptable", "objective" and "belittle" so fondly, try and recall the posts that went like "I am deliberately mean", "I know I'm abrasive", "you're not in my culture & traditions", "I know it's an irrational convention" and last but not least the posts that indeed chose to criticize my work in a rude way without reading it and insulting a whole region of Europe. Let's say it's not me who incited a lack of objectivity or rationality here. Pointless and detrimental to any progress. That's all I'm going to say (and this may be too much already) because it's this kind of comments that derailed the objective and rational part of the thread and caused me to go dark to be able to produce this write-up and I'm glad the people I chose to keep in touch with only found this reasonable. Now, may I ask you, please join me with the other ones in finding a rule set as balanced as possible. I feel your well-considered opinion may be valuable since I acknowledge your online experience.

Any proposals on which percentages to use, please? I can only judge from real life experience. I hope you see it works in such situations, but indeed this is a different medium with its own peculiarities. So I don't have that much of a clue.

I think rather than dragging this thread out, it would be an idea to start a new sign-up and get things sorted for the next game in that.
