I need a professional load order review, including Bash impo

After playing with modded-Oblivion for several years, I like to think that I'm savvy when it comes to finding and fixing conflicts. But this one has me stumped. The mod Decorator Assistant causes CTDs every time I finish using it. The similar mod Redecoration also produces such a crash. I've exhausted most of my options for 'deactivate a mod and wait 3 days'. I looked over the DA scripts in the Construction Set. Even went so far as to Google the lines of code I did not recognize. Nothing stood out as extraordinary.

If the mod is loaded into a clean save, it works fine until I increase a skill; tried both with and without Oblivion XP Leveling, and made a new character. The mod is so incredibly (relatively) simple, I can't think of what is causing the conflict/crash, short of FCOM itself. The only mods not recognized by BOSS (and thus hand-placed by me) are #32-36. I welcome any ideas at this point. Probly not the best idea to post w/ only 15 active members, lol. Guess I'll bump it in the morning. Here is my LO, and Bashed Patch.

Hm... I think there are a couple of bits of relevant advice http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/finishinstall/bashedpatch. Otherwise, I'm not sure what's wrong exactly. :(

edit: And I'm not 100% sure, but maybe a few mods need to be updated? Or could benefit from that...? Also, I'll just add, I'm no "professional", btw! :P

Try deleting the path of this line in the Oblivion.ini: STrackLevelUpPath

Set "STrackLevelUpPath=\\vault\TES4\LevelData\" to "STrackLevelUpPath="


Edit: 36 no compass markers v1.0.esp <-- The Bashed Patch has tweaks to do this. I thought MMO had an option for this as well, but I know you can find this tweak in the Bashed Patch.

I appreciate the suggestions, but alas, no dice :( Edit the Bashed Patch as per the link, removing all of the 'jewelery shows clothes' options. Also disabled OOO and WarCry imports where listed. Also edited that line in the .ini w/out quotes. Waited 3 days in the testing hall, then tried to use a simple staff w/ the DA. As soon as it's moved or unsummoned, I crash. As for the compass marker, MMO only affects the map markers. I used the Bashed Patch option, but it didn't work.

I'm going to try disabling the DA, then making a clean save and adding it back, keeping all of the adjustments thus far. Although any more ideas are still welcome. I looked over every line of the script, and it's just so, for lack of better words, normal. StartQuest adds spells to the Mystic Emporium. Then the activator Player.GetItem/Spell, Summon the Menu, output the various options for b.placeitem and lock it with a script I didn't recognize. There is no sound reason for this crash :brokencomputer:

Is there a word for when you know so much that you cycle back around to stupid? :nuke: The problem was in fact the DA Unlock, conflicting with the thousands of FCOM scripts. I fully disabled and removed FCOM while keeping everything else. Then started a new character and the unlock worked perfectly. Removing the unlock and doing a clean install of DA is so far working with FCOM (yay). And if anyone else ever encounters this problem, I was able to modify the DA script to work-around the 'permanent lock' bug. Though I don't feel quite so bad since I linked the Deadly Reflex hotfix and Tom couldn't believe it was different from the SM compatibility patch :hehe: Cheers m8.

I hate to necro, but it seems my celebrations were presumptuous :( Removing the Unlock plugin only delays the crash. I waited 3 days to clear the scripts, then reactivated and bought the DA spells again. As soon as an item is locked, the game crashes. Same thing happens w/ the Redecoration mod. I have rebuilt the patch w/ 'Import Scripts' completely un-checked, but to no avail. I have restored my .ini, but the changes to to import jewlery options and the two OOO/WarCry things remain off. Since I doubt that the act of importing cells, actors, etc. would cause this, I believe it must have something to do with another mod.

Kill that plugin. Wipe it from your load list. Remove it. Forget about it. It's crashing your computer...
