FIN GLEAM SKYRIM POLL

Does anybody know more on the green mysterious helmet near Anvil. Surely we have not heard the last of him.

It's a glass helmet. What was so mysterious about it?

Didn't really care about it to be honest. It was no "special" item to me, really, because it had no story behind it...

Bethesda can make better artifacts for us to find, I'm sure of.
Personally, I'm most excited to see Chrysamere...

Throw it in washed up some where why not, even if glass is hateful and the enchantment isn't great. But like already said if there tight on space a more unique unique would be nice.

Speaking of glass armor,PLEASE make it in SKyrim using Morrowind version of it,that was always one of the things i hated, such a exotic looking thing in Morrowind and such a ugly thing in Oblivion :(

I just want to know what happened to whoever was wearing fin gleam, I mean a dead person at the bottom of the ocean that had water breathing? I guess slaughter fish could have killed him.

Compared to some of the stuff with unique meshes and enchantments, Fin Gleam wasn't that great of a unique.
Now as for putting cool treasure in the middle of absolutely nowhere, and hiding things in places that people may not find independently in dozens of hours of play, I sure hope that level of attention to detail and emphasis on incentivizing careful exploration (especially in and around the water; things like underwater tunnels and grottoes are really awesome) makes a triumphant return.

And Morrowind's glass armor was IMO much cooler than Oblivion's but maybe that was due to the fact that the silly leveling system gave it routinely to bandits in my game.

If they're smart, which they are, they'll make it look new. Who wants to see the same armor style over and over again? Sure, I liked Morrowind's glass armor too, but I want to see a whole new style on Skyrim, not rehashing old ones.

One thing at least that was better in Oblivion than in Morrowind was the Daedric weaponry. They're very ugly designed in Morrowind.

I didn't care much for Fin Gleam, and even if it was featured as an easter egg I don't think many would get it. The only reason I found it was because of the wiki.

Eh, not a big fan of this peace of armor. Makes no difference to me.

Am I the only one as enthusiastic on the topic as the OP? I'm absolutely fascinated by the mystery of Fin Gleam, and while the artifact itself may not be all powerful or all that unique, the circumstances surrounding it surely are. When and where was it made? Why was it called Fin Gleam? Does it mean anything? Who was its unfortunate owner? How did said owner perish and end up on the Abecean seabad on the Gold Coast largely in the middle of nowhere? We literally know nothing about it!

I'd love it were Bethesda to shed some light on this mystery; I'm not clamouring for a return of the helmet or that a large role be given it as with Umbra, but I'd like a small reference to it in the corner of the world somewhere. Perhaps a little crumped note directed at the owner, hidden in some dark dungeon and easily missed by many, which might give us some direction as to how this mysterious and powerful object ended up where it did, along with its owner. Not much to ask for :D

I'd definitely be up for that. I guess it is pretty mysterious. Fin Gleam gives water breathing, yet the previous owner is dead at the bottom of the sea. Other than that, there is no story. It's just an enchanted glass helmet whose previous owner died. If a backstory is added, that's great! If not, I doubt I'll ever give it much thought ever again.

Seriously?
I thought the Daedric weaponry in Morrowind was http://www.freewebs.com/curse_of_the_blooded/MEAN%20AS%20DAEDRIC%20WEAPONS!!!!!!!!!!!!.jpg.
The stuff in Oblivion looks http://images.wikia.com/oblivion/images/1/17/Daedric_Weapons.jpg, imo.

Went down to meditate argonian style fell asleep and it slipped off?
He dropped it in and drowned getting to it?
He was already dead(murdered) and dumped there for ironic reasons?
Any other ideas lol?
