The Ultimate Elder Scrolls Poll

Seti... Oblivion is very action orientated. Why do you deny it? Morrowind is, Daggerfall is, Arena is. Though some are less than others, Oblivion is one of the more action based. Perhaps just behind Arena. It's not neccessarily a bad thing, and I don't believe anyone has said there are no redeeming RPG qualities about it, either. TES has always been a good mixture of action and rpg (though, imo, Oblivion went too far to the action side).

Morrowind went too far on the RPG side as well, though. Roll-based combat was ruined when you re-load five saves just to get "Better rolls".

Don't get me wrong, I liked Morrowind better, but the combat was a no-go.

I get what you're saying, but I don't feel that Morrowind went quite too far. I mean, it was a god-send for lore buffs. Anyhoo, I guess it's just a personal preference. And the rolls in Morrowind weren't that dramatic. If I'm fighting an enemy too high levelled for me, I will, without a doubt, get my but whooped every time. I can only do that for enemies that are basically just as skilled as I am.

1: Oblivion
2: Dunmer
3: Summerset Isles, Akavir
4: Arkay
5: Boethiah

I wouldn't mind if choices 2..5 end up in key points of the story in TES5. ;)
