I don't mind what Daniel_Kay said but after I receive more skills, weapons, armors better locations(no more the legendary treasure is in the dungeon right next to the path) and so.

They'd likely have a different way of showing such affection, as said not all would kiss to do that.

For humans kissing is quite obvious, after all we got a pretty good sample size here in the real world . There could however be cultural difference between "kisses".
For Khajiit as mentioned rubbing head together could be that, our cats to that when they show they like you.
Argonians could rub the tip of their muzzle against their partners cheek, a high sign of affection would be if they fully close their eyes, real reptiles show that they feel safe by doing so.
Elves would likely be quite similar to humans in that matter but again with a few cultural differences.
A Orcs sign of affection could very well be just holding foreheads together but I don't really know too much about their culture.


In fact there could be in game books that detail some of the affection signs between races, species and cultures, studying those can give you some knowledge about how you can greet people more correctly and, in a wider sense, some "flirting" tips (As mentioned somewhere else, flirting could be used to buy yourself people's trust).

This is pretty much my opinion on sixuality in gaming as a whole, neatly encapsulated. Or really sixuality in any media. If it makes the story better in a real way, go ahead, if it's there as mindless fanservice, then no. I mean, Tamriel is supposed to be a world. While Oblivion made leaps and bounds by having the new taken for granted feature of NPCs locking up and going to sleep at night, Bethesda could go so much farther by simply acknowledgeing that six exists in a tasteful, non-dirty way (see earlier post about the treatment of six in Oblivion for what NOT to do).

Seriously, going the "GOOOOOORE [censored] [censored] GOOOOOOORE!!!!!!!!!!!1111" route is not mature... that is what 13 year olds think is mature. And just plain stupid...

You know, as a long time fan of TES, I have to say I was disappointed in the fact that by and large the world stopped looking like real mideval society when TES3 launched. Well, okay, it was still a bit of a stretch before that too. My point is, if we want Tes5 to be akin to TES4 and be more immersive in the Mideval society, then six was generally accepted indoors. Kings and Lords had concubines, and people went to brothels as often as they went to worship. It isn't excessive, especially if portrayed in that sense and if viewed from the standpoint of this is a mideval recreation. Now, having women walk around the streets with boobs hanging out and asking for 'favours' is tasteless. It also doesn't fit with the times.
On the subject of being tasteful, or immersive, I'd go immersive. To be immersive one needs to recreate what life itself would actually be like, based on what we know our worlds past history was (which, if you look carefully you will see was also tasteful in most ways). It's the best reference point we got.
Also, just to throw this out there, should sixuality be added in greater depth into the game, and I believe it should be only if done in such a manner where it adds to the game, or can be incorperated smoothly, don't make every experience the same. You create a world that is based on diversity and freedom, and then make certain things identical? That would be poor execution in my opinion.

All that aside, I think someone in a previous thread said that TES is a game where you can do whatever you want. If you don't agree with sixuality in a game and it is added, there is always a way to not go that route, allowing you to do what you want.
Now, gore...realism is one thing, overly gory is another. If someone gets hit with a sword, it's gonna do some very obvious damage. Doesn't mean their limbs will explode off their body in a big messy pasty cloud of goo. There's a limit to everything, and if it exceeds realism then it shouldn't be in a game series that made realism part of its focus.

QFTW. Children, six and Gore are more asthetic additions in most video games. I'd rather they spend their time, resources and energy on things that'll actually matter (like that dodge skill that'll keep you from eating a mace from an Orc) before something like this that doesn't really add to the game by existing or take away from it by not existing.

I understand the allure of "realism" in an RPG. I don't see all the need for nudity and excessive violence. I like the way that Bethesda handled this in Morrowind and Oblivion. Yes it's there, but keep it vague and innocuous.

A point that may not have been brought up...

If a game does not have nudity and gore, it takes modders less than a day to get it in. Can the same be said in reverse? If there was nudity and excessive gore in ESV, would there be modders willing to tame it down? It certainly would not happen as fast... if at all. Maybe I'm mistaken but it would seem more difficult to take out than to add in.

Well I just hope they make the people more appealing, both genders were flat out ugly most of the time.

But TES was always way closer to the classical age than the Medieval Age. Except maybe the first one.

Lets just keep nudity/prostitution out of the game, and if you want it, add it in with a mod. And please, don't have the ESRB rating list 6 different things on it. I think its best left how it was in Oblivion, if you want more use a mod.

prostitution, don't care. Someone will mod it anyway. I just don't see them doing anything really interesting with it to warrant the controversy. Not that that is any reason not put it in.

gore- tone down the slightly excessive and unrealistic spurting of blood in dismemberment and change the cartoony sound that F3 has, and i think lopping off an arm would be rather fun in game.

A complete lack of prosttutes and brothels, or never at least mentioning prostitution is kind of silly if you want to create the illusion of a real, functioning world... unless you're aiming to make a kid's game.

I don't think six needs to be part of Bethesda's focus. They don't need the media headache they'd get if they did anything substantial with the topic or made NPCs anatomically correct. They don't need to. Let the mod community keep that job, they do well enough. I'd rather they put those man-hours into creating the little details of a lore filled world.

Considering many, many people have stronger feelings against nudity than gore. In my opinion, it should be an option feature, like in Daggerfall, the 'Child Safety' thing. Then, in the game's actual Menu would be a choice for 'Extreme Gore', which would be Dismemberment and stuff. I guess the game for consoles would have to have a password feature so that the kiddies can't switch off the child safety thing. But that wouldn't be too hard. Just something that would annoy Bethesda. The PC version could just be the install screen.
Idk though. Overall, it's Bethesda's choice, and it wont really matter to me, I'll buy the game regardless if it has six, nudity, gore, ect. in it.
