Bots can also be less idiotic than certain players.
In any case, I don't think people would 'switch to the winning faction' just because of a running tally of round wins or losses. If anything it would just make the people of the other faction fight harder. ^_^
For an example, take the Soldier vs. Demoman class war in TF2 a while back: people who were playing as one or the other didn't switch allegiances because of the other winning! Quite the opposite!
