Okay, I'll first start with a short introduction. Morrowind was always my favorite video game ever since i played it at a friends house the day it came out, and after getting it on an xbox and now for computer, I've decided to try my hand at modding.

I tried to make a simple house, it all began well, i made the outside with a door which successfully linked to my interior cell which i made about half of. I saved and quit. The next day I returned to find that i could not select or move anything in the cell i created, and although i could delete by box selecting or add new things, i could not do anything else. I could move anything in any other cell, interior or exterior, and there were no other problems. Anyone know what might be going on?

Also, things i save do not appear in the data files directory like they show when saving. This means i cannot delete them, and when i save them outside of the data files folder, they do not save where i choose. Thoughts?

Okay, i believe the first problem is now resolved. Now, how exactly do I export my mod? The mod can be used on my own copy of Morrowind, but no actual .esp file for my mod exists, and the export function does not tell me where my mod is made or saved to. How to I get a file for a mod? How do I export exactly?

Are you running the Construction Set on Windows Vista or Windows 7?

Did you go through any of the tutorials in the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/24-comprehensive-tutorial-and-useful-link-list/? You should review them, especially the general Construction Set tutorials.

Now that that is out of the way, the quick answer is choose Save from the File Menu.

I am on windows 7, and I can save and use mods I have made. The file just doesn't show up in the Data Files folder. I have also looked over some tutorials.
