Werewolves/Forests/Housing/Invesment in Skyrim

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 8:35 pm

Hi

I know this may have all been said before, but just wanted to get my first discussion going;

Has anyone actually seen anything official about werewolves? I've had a look and only managed to find a few rumours and nothing officially announced. Same goes with vampires really, who will hopefully be a lot more interesting the skyrim.

Forests are something which i hope we can be excited about. There could be some really eery, dark & enchanted forests. Which at night have a misty floor. Something to really mix up the enviroments. The forests in oblivion didn't really exsist, it just felt like a few oddly placed trees.

Housing in oblivion is something that i can complain about, it worked really well and there was load of different options, especially with that DLC that came out with all new hideouts and quests. (thieves den etc). But wouldn't it be awesome if skyrim incorporated those ideas into the actual game but scaled them down a bit. For example a shack deep into a dark forest or cleverly hidden hideout kinda like lucien lachances.

The investment in shops is also something i got super excited for in oblivion when i found out about it but i ended up super disappointed that it didn't really serve much of a purpose. I really think this is something they could expand on, but not much as it would just get way out of hand. Just some way or purchasing shops, or managing them, think it would work really well.

What does everyone think? Has anyone actually heard anything official on these topics?
Has anyone got any other information they are particularly excited about?

The suggested topic for this thread is quite broad, there are enough werewolves and vampires threads already, and can be discussed there.

Meh.
That would most likely depend on the weather, not the forest. It's nice on rare occasions, but shouldn't be overdone.

In any case, I want forests to be lush and alive.

I guess you are right though, it is a lot more about changing weather

The above would be pushing it for a massive variation on landscape anyways.

I want some really scary forests with mist on the ground like you said, populated by powerful beasts, maybe mutated trolls etc. From the forest boundary you will hear roaring.
