and people this is a serious topic: My way of protesting if it turns out he lied is starting a large *KILL M'AIQ* group...

How are you gunna get mad and kill him if he's doing exactly as his name says? That's like saying you're pissed off that a necromancer summoned a skeleton to fight you... besides m'aiq was unkillable in oblivion if I remember correctly, and he prolly will be in skyrim too. Soo good luck with that lol

Oh, and becoming a lich is highly unlikely

I always get mad when necromancers don't reanimate me once I'm dead...

The issue, as previously noted, is Liches don't have hearts!. Just bonemeal. So, that's where the problem with the M'aiq's recipe is.

Dragon's tongue was acquirable in Oblivion, anyway.

Ya, but didnt he say you need the tongue of a dragon? Not to mention, you cant say a liche wont have a heart in skyrim. It just wont do anything. Just another rotting organ.

m'aiq has likely become a tradition for bethesda, much like mudcrabs and having the player start in jail.

More to the point, who else will tell the player, "Spears? A knife on the end of a stick? Sword better, all blade no stick."

Hahah, I don't care if there are any spears or not. But I have a theory as to why so many people want them. It just occured to me with the dragons being in, if there were spears, then someone would most definitely try to create a Dragonlance Mod from the books series by Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis. I'm sure this would happen now that the idea occurred to me. Because that actually sounds awesome. And maybe Bethesda is afraid of copyright infringements happening with that so they're purposely (for legal reasons) not adding the spears.

Just a thought, and maybe not a very good one, but I welcome someone with some real understanding of law making a case for or against my idea so I can understand it more clearly. Thanks.

That would even be worse than a full vampire in OB.

You would look very distinct. You wouldn't be able to go into any town, and most people would run away from you.

This isn't and MMORPG, there can be consequences if you want power.
