The effect of adding one more zero.

So, I was following a video link to youtube that Notch (Minecraft Developer) tweeted and I found this which was favorited by the author of the video that was linked:

This is the video that Notch linked, which is pretty cool itself:

Are there any other videos and etc that really put things in perspective out there? If you know of some, please share them.

Thoughts?

Caught that film in a class entitled Multicultural Perspectives Upon the Environment back in '96. Good memories, good discussions, and good food and beer!

And to add something else...

We were all shown this in my intro to architecture course last semester, Charles and Ray Eames being architects and all. It was pretty cool.

Silly, pathetic, little human. Are you just now realizing how small and insignificant your miserable life is.

Coincidentally there's a thread like this on another forum. Nice videos guys.

Browsing the net on the subject and found http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5Sz31KUlcY&NR=1&feature=fvwp. It pretty much picks up where my last posted video left off. Oh and by the way we haven't even touched on multiverse theory.

Feeling small yet??? :)

I will smite you! :P

As for the rest of you. pretty cool stuff.

I feel insignificant.

I want a "Warp Drive" capable of exploring all of this stuff.

This makes me think back to that old thread that pop up every once in a while about living forever. Seeing the Universe in perspective I can safely say that yes, I would like to live forever. I can say this confidently because the Universe is massive an always expanding and I would never be able to explore it all before it is destroyed.

Then I'd just have to wait for the next Big Bang :D
